This should easily make it into the top 40 and possible top 30.

Wonderful his second era is doing so well for him.

The song actually already charted at #35 when the album was released.

According to Genius, this is what 'I'll be riding shotgun' means:

Can't believe I hadn't realised this!

Oh my god, have you never known of this phrase before?

Up to #41 this week so I imagine it's going to outpeak itself now that the traction behind it has begun!

Acoustic version is out this week. YAS at the original climbing to #20 officially this week *.*

Possibly the most awful, cringeworthy song of the year. The lyric video makes me want to punch him in the face.

Paradise is like 5/10, Shotgun -1/10 and Don’t Matter Now is 10/10, so it’s frustrating to see the others do well whilst Don’t Matter Now flopped hard.

His return with Don't Matter Now was very downplayed though. What promo did it have apart from Radio 1? Paradise very much led the album so I wouldn't be surprised if we get a re-release for Don't Matter Now at some point.

don't think they'll go for a re-release, there's enough good material in the album

I'd go for Pretty Shining People as next single, that's the album highlight imho and could be another top 10

Hold My Girl is so far confirmed as the next single after Shotgun - likely in October or around that time. At least half of the album is potential singles though tbh so if they wanted this album campaign could go on for a while :P
That’s the correct choice tbh as it shows a different angle of the album and it’s commercial enough to bag a third big hit I think...
It's so impressive how he's pulled it back since 'Paradise'. I got the feeling in the time that elapsed since he last released music that he was generally forgotten about, and that's what I mostly attributed 'Don't Matter Now's performance to.
and they haven't even released the video for shotgun yet!!

I know and only just going B-List on Radio 1 and hasn't even needed a 59p boost - think it has potential to go to number 1... especially when it picks up more on playlists

What a BRILLIANT single, even better than 'Paradise' which says a lot considering that was great. He's releasing some of, if not the best pop music out there right now.
