I downloaded at midnight and listened straight away and finally got to sleep about 2am 😆

 

Chromatica 1 kicks in and already I’m like ‘Gaga used this in the SL video’ and we had no idea at the time and I was getting emotional then Alice starts. Wow, what an opener - very haunting like Bloody Mary in terms of the style and vocals but on another level.

 

The whole album completely threw me, it wasn’t what I expected (in a good way) I kind of thought Gaga would try and do stuff she’d done before and I was expecting a traditional piano ballad (probably with Elton) but no she kept me on my toes the entire time, she wouldn’t let up and thank god for the interludes so I could breathe.

 

I’m still trying to take it all in at the moment. A fantastic body of work and such a cohesive album. Can’t rank the songs just yet it’s too early. I’m still in a state of Gaga delirium ❤️

The whole album is a total BOP and the record the world needs at the moment, I am so proud of her and I don't think I've stanned this hard for her since the Born This Way album. It's just so good to see her back, totally enjoying herself and serving anthem after anthem. Fun Tonight, Free Woman, Sin From Above and Babylon are my favourites at the moment.

Completed my first listen and honestly this is my favourite album of hers since 'Born This Way' already :o an issue I always had with 'ARTPOP' was jarring production in places but it's immaculate for the new album. This throwback dance-pop route is a dream. My highlights at the moment are Alice, Rain On Me, Sour Candy, Enigma, Replay, Sine From Above and Babylon! I am SO PUMPED to soundtrack my run with this album later *.*

 

Honestly this all feels like a dream - well-executed dance-pop production, both empowering and fun lyrics, classical interludes, her best album cover to date, Ariana Grande collab (with great video to match and a real shot at #1)... she really did that!

That drum + bassy outro on 'Sine From Above' sounds so odd. :lol:

Had the worst night's sleep. I was on such a high at 2am, and then I kept waking up thinking about whether listening to the album actually happened. I can't wait to experience it all again today :yahoo:

I think this is a good way of pushing a post album single but also with a chance of having it take off and become a hit if the Haus Labs version gets a push later down the line. It’ll get big sales when it’s released and then there’s the chance the instrumental would go viral as well getting people to check out the song and I can imagine it having an epic video too.

 

(Born This Way and ARTPOP also had the last track on the album be singles too)

After Joanne I was worried we’d never have the Gaga who released banger after banger but she is back!

Sine From Above is a complete masterpiece and can we just talk about how INSANE Elton John sounds?!

Alice, 911 and 1000 Doves are also favs!

I woke up this morning and genuinely smiled because I knew I'd be able to listen to the album again today.

No hyperbole, no stanning nonsense - BABYLON is the best Gaga song I've heard since the Born This Way album. AMAZING.

After a night’s sleep I’ve returned to listen to a 5th time, the rank is still changing:
