To be frankly it wasn't a potential for Club Bizarre, but for BJSC but I never got a chance to send it as many other songs I have on a list lol

I don't know what genre of dance Mattias likes the best outside the ones already covered by Club Bizarre, so I don't know what sort of theme there will be for the next contest.

Nah, I'm pretty chillaxed about the theme atm, there's still a while to go anyway. I'd be open to any suggestions (I mentioned loving the idea of a trip-hop / downtempo / ambient theme but that may be a little too niche haha). Synthpop could work perhaps *.* Or techno? :lol:

Nothing saying you can't repeat genres? If you keep at this pace it'll be a few years before you reach full-circle. Plus new dance genres will be created.

 

I like the genre application of this though, makes me delve into a few dance genres I don't normally go for and I enjoyed doing that this time.

Ah, this was really exciting to read through, and gradually both watch the results unfold and find out who was behind each song :D

 

I was cautiously optimistic about the potential of 'It Really Hurts' when I chose it, but got worried when the list went up that I'd picked the 'wrong' kind of deep house, as it's not exactly a banger. So the highlight of my night on the plug session was when this comment popped up about 45 minutes before we even got to the song:

 

 

Thanks lewistgreen for that and the 10 points (and Harry/Mattias for pretty high points too) :heart: But I got the feeling nobody else seemed to love it, so I wasn't expecting more than a mid-range position. Oops at me ending up placing below the song that only got 1 woot :kink: Also oops at falling from #3 after the first-4-votes midweeks to #19 at the end :') I'll take that for my first time though ~

I actually didn't even realise that the contests are hosted by the previous winners, as opposed to just the dance mods, until it was brought up on plug, so congrats Mattias breaking up the hegemony! :kink:

 

Well done to BlueBrony in particular doing fairly well, iconic name and something I can be certain I'd have never encountered elsewhere *.* Poor 'Chains Of Promises' came close to my top 10; maybe I should've given it a pity point.

This would be pretty good logic to be fair, since I actually did recently send a Russian rap song that had been posted on Reddit (albeit that's not how I found it) to BJSC :lol: but yes, not this time x
