Found both ‘Like A Virgin’ and ‘True Blue’ at a Record Fair today so I’ve finally added some of her 80s albums to my collection!

YAY two iconic vinyls to own, if only for their incredible album artworks!

I'm hoping we can get proper vinyl reissues at one point (with bonus material would be even better). I keep reading on other sites something about it taking 35 years for an artist to own the publishing rights to music? I can't remember the exact phrasing. Certainly when the biopic is released, that would be a great time to start properly reissuing albums.

Well I got my wish (on my birthday no doubt) of news confirming this five months later! :D

Tracking list:

Side A

1. Who’s That Girl (Extended Version)

2. Causing a Commotion (Movie House Mix)

Side B

1. Causing a Commotion (Silver Screen Mix)

2. Who’s That Girl (Dub)

3. Causing a Commotion (Dub)

Hmm I'm not too enthused by this, but I'm glad for Madonna fans that they're getting a properly new release this time, rather than a replica of old releases!

Here are the running times:

Side A

1. Who’s That Girl (Extended Version) [6:29]

2. Causing a Commotion (Movie House Mix) [9:40]

Side B

1. Causing a Commotion (Silver Screen Mix) [6:33]

2. Who’s That Girl (Dub) [5:07]

3. Causing a Commotion (Dub) [7:04]

Not fussed about this tbh. I want her to get to some of her absolute best songs instead

Yeah I'm not fussed either. I think the only interesting RSD release was 'You Can Dance' being released on vinyl a few years back for the first time since its release.

At least we have the Warner vinyl reissues to look forward to!

It could be eligible for the singles chart instead of albums, but won’t be anywhere near the Top 100.

Turns out this was the case: #13 on single sales, #7 on vinyl singles.
