Oh, I dunno, I reckon it's kinda cool... It's not all that far removed from some of the darker, Underground stuff that I listen to...

ive always said that there is a direct correlation between the amount of soft porn in a video to the tracks musical content..... :P

nope.... my comments were refering to the porno one, which compounded my dislike for the track, like i said, i cant hear this without being mindful of that porno vid.. <_<

That Benny Benassi satisfaction video is the orignal. It even features the man himself, the guy at the back on the left!

I dont think the 'porno' vid was the original one for the track anyway, I think that came later. I'd heard the tune first while out clubbing anyway, so I don't really care tbh, they didn't play the vid at Slimes... The original vid is cool, the one the record company did purely for titilation sake is totally tacky and sucks sh!t, but I'm able to get past it cos at the end of the day, the tune is totally banging... And I rather get the impression that Benny himself had very little to do with it....

NUMBER 13 - GOLDFRAPP - STRICT MACHINE

Classy bit of sleazy-sounding Electro-Pop.... I prefer Goldfrapp's older stuff to the new to be honest, I thought "Supernature" was a tad overhyped and a bit shallow... The "Black Cherry" era is for me, the best of Goldfrapp, with the wide-screen, epic tones of "Felt Mountain" being very close behind....

NUMBER 12 - THE PRODIGY - OUT OF SPACE

Ahhhh, back in the days of Rave, Smiley Face, Acid House, Happy Hardcore, and when Liam Howlett had a totally fukked-up, wicked sense of humour.... I LOVE this track, more than any other Prodigy track because it's simply bloody good, silly fun, and it sounds less cliched than stuff like "Firestarter" (which, frankly I'm bloody sick of hearing..) or "Baby's Got a Temper" (which is just sh!t); because The Prod back then (in the "Experience" and "...Jilted Generation" days..) were just totally 'aving a lark and taking the p!ss....

NUMBER 11 - COVENANT - CALL THE SHIPS TO PORT

This is an utterly MARVELOUS piece of Hard EBM/Techno from Sweden's finest - Covenant.... Now, Covenant can be a real bunch of pretentious, awkward b/astards at times, but if they keep coming up with the brilliant tunes, well, frankly they can shove their heads up their asses as far as I'm concerned.... This track FUKKIN' SLAYS!!!!!

Going into the Top 10 now - the tension mounts...... :D

NUMBER 10 - THE ORB - LITTLE FLUFFY CLOUDS

Absolutely beautiful, tripped out, Ambient gorgeousness from Dr Alex Patterson and Thrash... The Orb were a truly legendary Dance act and their live performances were frankly astonishing.. I curse that I wasn't able to find a vid of their appearance on Top of the Pops when they sat down and played a game of three-dimensional chess while their "Blue Room" track was playing all around them.... It would've made a nice little addendum to this... Little bit of trivia for you, Patterson was a founder member of KLF/JAMMS.....

NUMBER NINE - UNDERWORLD - DARK AND LONG (DARK TRAIN MIX)

This is also on the quite excellent "Trainspotting" soundtrack, but with all the attention paid to "Born Slippy" you'd be forgiven for forgetting that it was... For my mind "Dark Train" beats "Born Slippy" by a country mile... The slow-burning and very deliberate build-up reaches a pretty excellent crescendo and is therefore infinitely more satisfying, as opposed to "Born Slippy"s 'quiet bit-loud bit' routine which gets old the more you hear it... "Dark Train" is a tune that actually takes you on a mental journey.... Forget the rather ropey quality of the vid, sit back, light up a spliff, close your eyes; turn on, tune in....drop out..... Sublime.... ^_^

NUMBER SEVEN - ORBITAL - THE BOX

Another stunning track from the Hartnoll boys, so many to choose from but I wanted to go with a track from later on in their career. The level of musical progression from "Chime" to this is absolutely huge and obvious for all to hear, "Chime" was about blissing out the listener, "The Box" is all about getting into your head... Fantastic vid as well, some quite incredible imagery and themes put across in this one... By the way, the actress is Tilda Swinton...

NUMBER SIX - DELERIUM - SILENCE (REMIX)

A bit of a guilty pleasure this one... :P I really shouldn't like this, I should really think it's awful and cheesy and a cruddy thing to do to a really beautiful song, but I don't.... I love it, and this is one Trancey tune that pretty much guarantees my ass on a dancefloor.

...And here's what the original song sounds like....

NUMBER FIVE - FSOL (FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON) - PAPUA NEW GUINEA (FULL VERSION)

Be a bit patient with this one, it's seriously worth the wait... A truly astounding piece of prototype Trance from an inspirational act who never really got the credit they deserved. FSOL are greatly missed, even though they went on to become Amorphous Androgynous. They did three absolutely astounding albums ("Accelerator", "Life Forms" and "Dead Cites", each of which crafted a totally different mood and vibe. Oh, and let's not forget the truly amazing 'live' album "ISDN" in which they streamed a live performance from their studio down a BT ISDN cable onto the Internet, this almost a DECADE before Sandi fukkin' Thom's management company ever thought of the idea, the whole idea of putting music over the net is pretty much thanks to them. FSOL were genuine originals, pioneers way ahead of their time....

NUMBER FOUR - VNV NATION - BELOVED

As promised earlier, the quite fantastic VNV Nation.. They are probably the best of the EBM/Cyber acts out there, they craft truly epic soundscapes and their live performances are quite amazing. The thing with EBM is is that the lyrics are every bit as important to the overall effect as the tune itself, so it's not just about what sounds good in a club, you can gain much from home-listening. "Beloved" is my favourite VNV track because when I saw them perform it live last year, I was genuinely in tears when they played this. It's a fukkin' beautiful, epic song....

oh and my fav prodigy is 'no good (start the dance) '

I like that one too, it's from the "Music for the Jilted Generation" album, as far as I'm concerned that and "Experience" was when Prod were at their best.... Their last album just absolutely sucked.... :puke2:
