November 2, 200618 yr I'd stopped looking at the Dance section on Buzzjack because it was full of tragic Misery of Sound compilation discussions and chat about Eric Prydz...so nice to see this list. I love Primal Scream's Higher than the Sun - the most gloriously tripped-out slab of psychedelia.... just wish they'd go back to doing stuff like this and forget the rock God nonsense. The Orb...love this, too - I saw them live about 8 years ago and they were incredible. This reminds me of nights I can hardly remember - if you see what I mean. Delerium... not keen on the 2 you've chosen - my fave Delerium single is 'Euphoria (Firefly)'... delicious, that one. Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman remains the best EVER dance album... totally cosmic (man). Leftfield, too - such a shame they released that dreadful last album. Benassi - I bought the album a few years ago - it all sounds pretty similar, but some of it is superb. I detest the re-made video, too - this one's great, though. Goldfrapp - AWESOME video. Apparently their new stuff is a return to the Felt Mountain era filmic stuff. THANK GOD! The industrial stuff - I do actually love some of it - but there's no doubting a lot of it (Covenant) hasn't aged too well - but in the day - definitely. I'd love to do a list like this - but YouTube just don't seem to have many of the videos I'd include :(
November 2, 200618 yr Delerium, Goldfrapp, FSOL. My favourite Goldfrapp track is 'Twist', I'm not too keen on that Prodigy track but I love them, so it's all good.
November 2, 200618 yr Im glad my little thread inspired others ^_^ Silence is excellent, good to see it in your chart, Scott :D
November 3, 200618 yr Author The industrial stuff - I do actually love some of it - but there's no doubting a lot of it (Covenant) hasn't aged too well - but in the day - definitely. Covenant I'd count more as an Electronica/EBM band these days... "Call The Ships..." is actually from 2002 so it's not that old...
November 3, 200618 yr Author Im glad my little thread inspired others ^_^ Silence is excellent, good to see it in your chart, Scott :D Cheers mate, hope you've been enjoying some of the other stuff as well..... Wait 'til you see the "Indie/Alternative" one I got lined up.... :D
November 3, 200618 yr Author AWWWW geez, way to be a complete DUMBASS..... I totally missed out number 8!!!!!!   Sh!t...... Well, guess I'm gonna have to do....THIS..... ........NUMBER 3.5 - FAITHLESS - SALVA MEA Jester kinda made this an easy choice by picking "Insomnia" for his chart (I didn't really see the point in putting it up again...), I probably love this track even more than "Insomnia" in some respects anyway. It's a shame it's not the full-on, incredible 10 minute album version, but this is good enough... Faithless at their best... [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/lRtUU3_IQkg.swf
November 3, 200618 yr Author AND NOW ON TO THE TOP 3 PROPER....... NUMBER THREE - THE JAMMS/KLF - IT'S GRIM UP NORTH And, no, I did NOT just pick this one cos it's got the word 'grim' in the title  , this is an absolute fukkin' KILLER tune, and I just love the way Bill Drummond reels off that list of depressed Northern England town names in his broad Scottish brogue..... :D The use of "Jerusalem" at the end is really quite inspired as well.... [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/HwtSdJaPCSI.swf
November 3, 200618 yr Author NUMBER TWO - LEFTFIELD & LYDON - OPEN UP Leftfield's collaboration with John Lydon (aka, the legendary Johnny Rotten..) is one of the absolute BEST Dance collaborations of all-time, so utterly cool, so hilarious, so incredibly RIGHT.... The tune is a killer, an out and out floor-filler, the video is fantastic. And just who can resist Lydon's howl of "BURN HOLLYWOOD BURN".... [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/d0Ed9Tq2DzY.swf
November 3, 200618 yr Author .....And I shall return with Number one later..... :P  (can anyone guess what it's gonna be...?)
November 3, 200618 yr it HAS to be something by the Vengaboys, Scott :P Great choice with Lefdtfield/Lydon... but another top Dance selection minus one of my absolute faves - Age of Love?
November 3, 200618 yr Author s club juniors 'new direction' (big boi edit)?.... lol ....And Nope again... Keep guessing....
November 3, 200618 yr Author Faithless - Insomnia? Nope... :D No one's even close yet.... Okay, here's a clue - The name gives the impression that there's two, but he's a lone Techno boffin...
November 3, 200618 yr This is a great list - there are some here that could benefit from a bit of leftfield-style dance education!
November 3, 200618 yr Nope... :D No one's even close yet.... Okay, here's a clue - The name gives the impression that there's two, but he's a lone Techno boffin... Dust Brothers? (or was that just the Chemical Bros old name?!)
November 3, 200618 yr Author Dust Brothers? (or was that just the Chemical Bros old name?!) The Chemical Brothers did actually operate under that name, until the US rap crew Dust Brothers stopped them....
