Well... that will be a Christmas episode to remember, just reminds me a bit of Angie and Dirty Den Christmas episode. Quite enjoyed that. The pub karaoke was a bit of a cringefest to watch lol at Phil :lol:

I’ve not watched since the summer so I legit had no clue what was going on for half of the episode but those final scenes with the Slaters were great! Lol bye Alfie.

That was Poundland Den & Angie 1986 and Laura Beale 2004. Didn't enjoy it.

That was a good chaotic episode. As soon as they started gathering at the top of the stairs,I knew someone was going to fall down them.

The last moments with whole destruction of the Kat and Alfie relationship and of course the duff duff were intense but I thought the full episode was fantastic. I liked that we got half hour of 'calm before the storm', with great character interactions as well as the main story bubbling away. I thought the karaoke scenes were a real laugh and well thought out - Rainie and Phil singing Fairytale of New York was genius! The second half of the episode had me on the edge of my seat all night, although I do have to admit they overdid the Kat 'dirty girl' routine a bit too much and I could have done without the Stacey and Max scene outside the Slater hour; at least they didn't kiss though.

 

Heard rumours that Alfie would be injured but I'm relieved it was Hayley who was responsible; if it were Kat, that would have really finished off the character. At least Hayley is disposable. I just hope they don't go down the Dirty Den cover up routine - that was fantastic at the time but I don't trust the writing team to do it right and avoid tarnishing the characters of Stacey and Kat.

Just not there with 2007, 2008, 2009 Xmas episodes, thank u next.

Really enjoyed the episode despite not watching any EE for months. I don’t think EE would want to kill Alfie off as he’s always considered a classic character these days, but we’ll have to see.

I haven't been following this storyline much but it seems a bit rich for Kat to take the moral high ground when she's been banged by Michael Moon, Derek Branning & Andy Hunter whilst being in a relationship with Alfie, the sex that she had with Andy Hunter was even filmed on camera to make matters worse! So to say that Alfie owed her one would be a massive understatement.

 

 

 

I doubt Alfie will get killed off but either he or Hayley will most likely leave the show as there's no way that Kat, Alfie and Hayley can all continue to live in the same area.

I guess that’s the end of Alfie. About time tbh.

Please god can that be the end of Alfie, he always has been a terrible character. I'm really over this storyline and I think they've handled Alfie's return and now Hayley terribly. The actual episode in terms of things happening, secrets coming out and the drama, it was good but they can't expect us to feel sorry for Kat when she cheated on Alfie god knows how many times, and god knows what they're trying to do with Hayley. As I've said already in this thread, I really liked the character but it's just misery porn at this point :lol:
