Yeah I can't see Michelle ever coming back unless Sue Tully miraculously decided to return. I understand the dilemma the producers had between continuing with Michelle under Jenna or just getting rid and pretending it never happened, but I think they should have continued. Maybe give her a break whilst they rewatch old episodes of Michelle and return her with better writing. Sure it may have been jarring at first but people would have gotten used to it. At least the character wouldn't be a lost cause like she is now.

On the strength of the storyline it wasnt wirth bringing her back and most of the time it looked like the writers didn't know what to do with her. At the time I thought the stalker storyline had huge potential to have been great but it was rushed and ended up forgettable.

It’s funny how we’ve been talking about Michelle recently and this exit is almost in the same vein. A character with plenty of potential leaving after having done nothing for months. I know Michelle also had the recast issue but I suspect lack of storylines would have motivated Jenna to leave.

I'm happy with that exit news as the character was pointless for years.

The episodes though from the last 2 weeks have been incredibly boring.

There's nothing more annoying than someone who has just come out of a relationship complaining about how they're single. Denise, you literally just chucked a decent bloke, quit the whining.

I really like the Ian and Mel scenes in yesterday’s episodes.

Just a couple of weeks away from seeing Kate Oates first episodes it seems! Mel/Hunter storyline seems like it will be wrapped up 20 years to the date of Steve Owen killing Saskia which I feel is a nice subtle nod rather than scenes telling us "omg Hunter is just like his father". Looks like Lofty and Mary's return could be on anniversary week too.

Hunter is such a creep. The actor is pretty poo though so I’m not too pissed about him going. Mel needs to stay forever tho.

Been watching a lot of Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression recently and the EastEnders bits just crack me up. The cast was so good in 2001.
