Kate Oates did wonders for Corrie and that was in as much of a terrible place as EE currently is tbh, so I'd welcome that!

Kate Oates would need to have the balls to remove the Carters from the Vic.
Ngl, I howled at Robbie staring at the doner kebab sign.

Ruby Allen

is randomly returning.

I remember her she had connections with Steve, Mel, Jake and Joe, and I can't remember her father's name the guy from the Bill

It was Johnny Allen played by Billy Murray wasn't it?

It was indeed! Will.be interesting to see how/who they interact Ruby with. Be nice to see some scenes with Sharon and Phil considering her dad was responsible for a lot of upset for them such as Dennis's death and Phil's revenge because of that.

If Kate's on board then I'll return to watching! I get the impression (especially from the interviews I've seen) that she's quite feisty/gives zero f***s about upsetting people.

I'd make it my personal mission to get her a damehood if she did that tbh

I've not liked a lot of her work at Corrie (2013-15 Emmerdale was largely fantastic though) so I feel sceptical about the idea of her taking over Eastenders but, one thing is for sure, she knows how to build hype and work social media. We'd be guaranteed a show that was at least exciting, even if there were bad points to storylines, which is an improvement on now when largely nothing is happening and there's no hype either.
Eastenders has always excelled at big camp over the top storylines. Kathy1's return should have been like a spy mystery, not samosas.
The issue based storylines have been where Corrie has excelled recently, for example Bethany's grooming. That's what makes it a must watch, you don't get any of that in Eastenders. It's just mundane or tired shite wrung out for ages, if there's even anything happening at all :/ Corrie's got some criticism for being a bit depressing but I'd much much rather have that than the total non event of EE recently.

I think Kate Oates could be the ideal person to take charge, on saying that i feel it wont happen as i cant see Kate departing ITV.

That said, she knows how Soaps work, and I feel her work speaks for itself as it brought great success to both Emmerdale and Coronation Street when she served as executive producer.

Something drastic needs to be done with EastEnders soon as it has lost its footing for a very long time now, and possibly the longest I can remember.

I hate to say this, but...

YES!!!!! good riddance.

First time watching EE in over a month, Stuart really is an absolute terrible character, isn’t he?

Omg tell me he’s actually dead and Mick will take the fall and go down for life.

Then at least 30% of EE’s issues will be resolved.

Tina getting her 'you need slapping down' moment in the exact same place *.*

Omg Ben Mitchell teas *.*

Return confirmed for

Dr Harold Legg, former Walford GP, who made appearances between 1985 and 2007. He will be returning for an 'emotional' storyline with Dot.

I had always imagined he'd return one day but as an exit storyline for

Dot. Whilst the article does suggest someone might die, it seems more likely to be Dr Legg.
