Has there ever been a song whose streams are more dictated by day-to-day events than Three Lions?

 

Its daily position is entirely dependent on days England are playing a match/the result etc...it's really quite odd to see a song dart around on streaming as each day passes from the 20s to 1 then back down to 8 then 14 and inevitably back up today/tomorrow depending on the result etc. For such a sedate chart, Three Lions shows a volatility rarely, if ever, seen on Spotify (even the Xmas songs take time to build gradually before dying off quickly after the event). It's also odd that by comparison Three Lions has been at No.1 on iTunes for the whole week and goes up and down in popularity on a daily basis but not by the same extremes!

oh crazy they added 3 Lions as track #1 on HH today, they should have done it days ago!!

but agree the pattern for 3 Lions is pretty crazy, not sure how the occ are gonna estimate their Thursday streams for the charts ;) cos their estimates are based on songs moving in a predictable manner, which 3 lions isn't following
