Certainly some interesting pairings in the draw there, I wonder how many English teams will be left after this round!

Will be interesting to see what comes of the Ronaldo celebration as well, he's probably got a fine coming his way.

Neymar has been charged with making "insulting acts against a match official" following his comments on social media about the Champions League tie with Manchester United.

The 27-year-old called the decision to award United a 94th-minute penalty in the match on 7 March "a disgrace".

Ronaldo was just given a fine following that celebration.

Outright before the quarter-finals Odds (Coral)

Man City 12-5f

Barcelona 3-1

Juventus 4-1

Liverpool 5-1

Man Utd 12-1

Tottenham 14-1

Ajax 20-1

Porto 50-1

Out of the eight, who wins it?

  • 2 weeks later...

Premier League clubs have opposed proposed changes to the Champions League format from the 2024-25 season, one of which would see four groups of eight teams resulting in more matches.

Four groups of eight teams, seems such a daft idea. Leave the format as it is.

For Tottenham I think a 1-0 defeat, or maybe a draw, would represent a decent result for them tonight.

Champions League predictions:

Liverpool 3-1 Porto

Tottenham 1-2 Man City

Ajax 0-3 Juventus

Man United 1-2 Barcelona

Those are the predictions I'm going for in this week's first leg matches.

Fancies Spurs to beat City after seeing the team selection Pep put out (which was bizzare). Just need Spurs not to be Spurs and they'll go through. Hope the gits can get something out of the league game as well.

City will still get through quite comfortably I think, a 3-0/3-1 win in the reverse. Mind you with Kane possibly out for the rest of the season they tend to raise their game (seem to recall them winning every league game whilst he was previously out injured).

Important for Pool to keep that clean sheet, one foot very firmly in the Semis.

Super excited for tomorrow's match!

I detest spurs with every fibre of my being but I’m praying to every deity ever prayed to they can do the business at the council house. Nothing would be better than seeing the continued failure of the front operation for laundering some dirty oil money on the european stage. Some things that Qatar and UAEs money can’t buy.

I’m ready for us to get hammered 4-0 tomorrow! *.*

If Tottenham score next week then I think it's over for Manchester City as I don't think they will score up to 3 goals in the 2nd leg. I certainly hope Tottenham will knock them out so that all this quadruple talk can end until it inevitably starts again next season. It looks like all these games that City have been playing are catching up to them now after watching them tonight and on Saturday during the FA Cup semi final.

Man City will find a way probably next week but please Spurs can they get a result next week?

Cristiano Ronaldo will start Juventus' Champions League quarter-final with Ajax after recovering from injury, manager Massimiliano Allegri says.

Ronaldo - who has been nursing a thigh strain - has not played for Juve since he scored a hat-trick against Atletico Madrid in the last round on 12 March.

Giorgio Chiellini misses out with a calf strain, while Emre Can also stays behind with an ankle issue.

So what did everyone think of this weeks champions league games? United given themselves a shout next week in the Neu Camp and Liverpool getting an all right result but still need to be wary next week in porto.

As for Spurs and City I don't have a clue. Juve looking likely to reach the semis too unfort as i would love Ajax to beat the money clubs and do what they did in the 90s. But Ronaldo looking like getting to another final in a different team??

Be quite an ask for United to come back against Barcelona at the Nou Camp but you never know.

Liverpool seem to have one foot in the semi-finals.

Still think Man City will either edge it or turn another gear against Spurs. Regarding Juventus and Ajax, Ajax still have a good chance but it'll be tough away at Juventus.

The officials yes that had a shocker tonight. Yes it is a lot better than I thought we would do also, Silas. Shame Suarez got his moment...

A goal either way and it's game on so united could easily qualify if they did it in Paris they can do it in Barca albeit they are both different beast. We also know Barca have a history of falling apart like against Roma!!

What did the officials mess up? Didn't see that games!!
