Any fans of this wonderful lady here?

not really.... she kind of led the way for 'new wave' women in the late 70s, early 80s. She did make an electro album with Thomas Dolby, but I wouldn't call her a synth act as such. Some interesting trivia... Lovich wrote and sang on the classic disco hit 'Supernature' by Cerrone, currently being used by Goldfrapp on their world tour as their entrance song and the inspiration behind their new album.

Definitely worth checking are her albums Flex and Stateless, way ahead of their time. She's best known for 'Lucky Number', but we won't hold that against her ;-)

Her influence is everywhere - probably most obvious, vocally, with Gwen Stefani.... 'What You Waiting For' uses every Lovich-ism in the book.

She's also done a few collaborations with Nina Hagen and been namechecked by Bjork and PJ Harvey.

Here's her website... http://www.stereosociety.com/lenelovich.html
