It's an easy second week at the top for Froy, as sideswipe becomes one of a select few tracks to spent more than one week at the top this year. It joins:

Froy also joins the rest of this week's top 4 which sees every artist involved at their personal highest position. Ruel's Younger climbs 6-2 to overtake the #4 peak of Dazed & Confused this year. Alvaro Soler improves the peak of his first hit La Cintura, which also gave Flo Rida a new peak last week and once again this week. TINI improves upon her joint highest peak of #7 too, as La Cintura goes 7-3. Finally, Alan Walker improves on the #5 peak of All Falls Down as Darkside climbs to #4. Featured artists Au/Ra and Tomine Harket have no other top 10s, so also improve their personal best positions.

 

Also this week, we see a debut for benny blanco.

 

 

Last week, I worked out that at least one boyband song has been in my top 40 since 5 Seconds of Summer's She's Kinda Hot debuted in 2015. That's an unbroken run of over three years, with the likes of One Direction, The Vamps, In Real Life, The Tide, New Hope Club, After Romeo, Why Don't We, The Shades, Suite 16, JTR, Citizen Four, FO&O, Apollo 5, CNCO, CD9 and Smilo all contributing to the mammoth run too. This week, two new boyband songs enter my top 10. The first is Summer On You by PRETTYMUCH, which had been lurking around my chart for six weeks previously before finally cracking the top 10. It's their sixth top 10 hit out of seven top 40s, and the fifth track of theirs that has climbed to its peak as opposed to debuting there. It sees them into the top 5 for the first time this year, with No More (#2) being their last top 5 hit at the end of 2017.

Joining the boyband fold is Roadtrip, a British five-piece who have released a double-helping of EPs thus far. Despite being aware of them, I hadn't heard any of their songs until the end of last month, when they supported HRVY on tour. Their new single Take This Home was released last week, and it becomes this week's highest new entry. A previous track of theirs, No No No, climbs four spots to #32 in its second week.
