I think looking back, the second album was a perfect storm of not having the same strength as the debut but also the gap between releases. If you compare it to Steps' "Steptacular" album, even though they were also in America at the same time touring with Britney, they consistently had a new single out once every three months.

They remained present even when they couldn't always be readily available due to international commitments, and so by the time "Steptacular" did come out three singles "Tragedy", "Love's Got A Hold On My Heart" and "After The Love Has Gone" had already been. B*Witched left it six months between "... Weatherman" hitting number one and "Jesse Hold On" being released.

Objectively I can see why "Jesse Hold On" went first, it was musically along the same line as "Rollercoaster" but took things a step forward. But realistically I'm not sure what else was obvious first single. "If It Don't Fit" would've been too big a step forward.

I think whatever they did, because they had such a huge platform when they started of all those number ones, whatever they did wouldn't have been right. And don't forget as well they were on a development deal until "C'est La Vie" happened, so didn't get a chance to really fully cement their identity away from the spotlight.

I won't hear a bad word said about album #2 or Jesse Hold On. From start to finish that album is wonderful and now I want to relive it all again.

Exciting, I’m guessing it’ll just be the standard 12 tracks with nothing new added? (Like B-Sides)

Correct. So a bit like what Aqua did with their Aquarium album last year!

Though so, thanks. I just noticed the link sorry.

That’s ok, I mean all their b-sides are readily available on iTunes/Spotify so it’s not like weee missing out on them. Like I feel we are with say S Club 7 or Billie Piper. (The laters becoming available I’m aware will probably never happen).

Yeah I saw the listing on Townsend and it confirmed the 12 track!

Thanks. I wonder if in twelve months time we’ll get their second album Awake and Breathe on vinyl. Part of me think no because it didn’t do anywhere near as well as their debut. Then the other part think yes they will, if they’ve done the first and have a new album out this year then why not have them all on vinyl?

1,000 copies will be snapped up instantly.

I didn’t buy Awake and Breathe originally but I would 100% buy the vinyl now!

Yeah, 1,000 seems like they'll be snapped up pretty fast.

The same amount for Awake and Breathe might be alright actually.

They've filmed the video for their new single - and a full announcement is coming a week on Friday...

They're also confirmed to play Brighton Pride on 6th August:

My copy of the first album on orange vinyl was dispatched today as well!

Interesting! I wonder if this means they've signed to a proper label with all the vinyls and things also coming out? Champagne or Guinness wasn't bad, but you could tell it was done on a budget.

I guess they could try putting out a new greatest hits with a new single? I guess it would also tie into them releasing their albums on vinyl.

They look great on the cover and all the photoshoot

they are a band who have aged so well

Do we think they may do a small tour or something? or they will just do prides and all?

they keep saying they are celebrating 25 years that's why I ask
