Birthday chart! And it’s still extremely crowded lmao

 

• Zedd is also celebrating a birthday this weekend and coincidentally he’s #1

• other than that it’s another tight race within the #2-6 region. Drake launches up to #2 (his second top 3) and R3HAB takes a tumble to #4. I think a lot of the top 5 might start dropping soon, I’m starting to get tired of them. Even Jumpsuit :(

• Against The Current continues to surprise and enters the top 10

• the rest of the chart has some kind of vacuum effect going on as some of my summer jams are fading away. this helps Benny Blanco/Sabrina/Bryce Vine/KKA more than anything

• Allie X vaults up 11 spots. I’m actually obsessed with it now

• Why Don’t We and BROCKHAMPTON also benefit greatly from the vacuum effect

• Thunderclouds debuts in the top 40 thanks to that Samsung commercial

• f*ck it I’m charting Nervous. It was sort of a single in the UK and I charted Lane Boy due to those circumstances. This is Shawn’s 7th entry overall

• the last debut comes from my latest BJSC 18

• and Imagine Dragons refuses to die. I think it might make it to 40 weeks after all

Thunderclouds is easily my fave of the LSD project singles, I was kinda indifferent to it at first which was why I didn't play it as much but it did grab me after that commercial. I need Sia to get another hit in the US, Flames was robbed.

The entirety of this 5SOS album has been a fantastic comeback era for them. AS IF Youngblood is their biggest song in the US tho, I wish She Looks So Perfect got that much recognition, it could have been the start of a punk revival :(
