November 13, 20186 yr Author Live from Hollywood, it’s DWTS Juniors! This week, it’s Juniors’ Choice, meaning the kids choose the song, the wardrobe, and even the style of dance. - scores: Val | Mandy | Adam Miles & Rylee: For this dance, not only do they have to juggle Miles’ tribute to Space Jam, they also have to balance his filming schedule. He’s learned the choreography through FaceTime but he hadn’t had enough time to practice with Rylee until dress rehearsal. How will that affect them? He dances much better than Rylee this time, which is a shock! It’s fast-paced and full of energy, and they pulled it off. I did notice one part where he forgets part of his dance. Mandy appreciates that all the focus was on them and that it wasn’t too gimmicky. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. Still a pretty high score nonetheless. - Mackenzie & Sage: She’s finally dancing to her own song, a collab with Johnny Orlando. Kenzie believes that she found her voice through her passion for singing, and that previously during Dance Moms she felt tied to one thing and was scared to put herself out there. It’s the pressures of being perfect or at least compared to Maddie. She concludes that she rediscovered her passion for dance through singing. OH MY GOD I NEVER REALIZED HOW MUCH SHE LOOKS LIKE MADDIE. It’s nice seeing her do a dance that requires more than just fast leg movements. Her hip action is pretty on point! Val commends her for taking control of her life and destroying it in a Latin dance. Mandy is impressed with their synergy. MADDIE AND MELISSA IN THE AUDIENCE!!! Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. That’s their PR for the season so far, tied with their Disney Night performance. - Jason & Elliana: Jason reveals that he booked the role for Levi on Raven’s Home through his cover of Run-DMC’s “It’s Tricky”, and he wants to look the part. He’s very assertive during rehearsals and honestly it’s kinda cute. Elli’s back handspring combos are DIVINE. The only thing that I wished occurred during that dance was the partnerwork, but he kept his own dancing with the troupe. Val was astounded by how out of the box it was. Mandy appreciates how he dances outside his body. Whatever that means. Scores: 9 | 8 | 8 = 25. What I expected. Lol @ Mandy and Val switching their scores from last episode. - Akash & Kamri: OMG WITNEY SNAPPED WITH HER DRESS *.* He starts off with spelling this really long word at nine letters per second and that’s how he describes his Charleston. He nails the spelling part, and then comes back to the Charleston, which I think is impressive. There’s tons of smiles and praise from the judges, and Akash thanks the judges for their kind words and dedicates this dance to his younger fans. Scores: 7 | 7 | 6 = 20. Yeah. It was lacking the polish for them to progress further score-wise. - Sky & JT: For her Juniors’ Choice dance, she does a celebratory Samba to her skateboarding career. Alan doing push-ups sent me *.* I’m impressed with her musicality and the way she commands the beat during this Samba. Adam appreciates the chemistry between the two of them, but warns her that she’s still flat-footed on some parts of the dance. Val commends her commitment to learning proper ballroom, and he and Mandy congratulated Alan for outstanding choreography. Scores: 8 | 8 | 7 = 23. I’m a bit shocked! I thought it deserved a 9. - Mandla & Brightyn: He chooses Bruno’s “Perm”... I know Frankie is going to enjoy this. Cheryl tells him that he needs to show more improvement - it’s Week 5 and consistency isn’t enough anymore. He’s doing pretty good with this dance, and it’s much more polished and has more content than their Salsa. It’s fantastic and full of swag, exactly what I expected. Val thought he delivered, and Mandy is impressed that he nailed the choreo from before the stage. Scores: 8 | 9 | 8 = 25. How convenient. That’s the same score Frankie got for his dance. - Ariana & Artyon: She was pretty upset with her scores, but she gets some reassuring advice from Brandon; as long as she does her best, she’s all good. Ariana and Artyon have so many ideas for this dance... how are they gonna fit all that? Ariana’s strategy is to take the corrections and apply them to this jazz dance. There’s some recognizable jazz content but it’s what I expected from a street dance. Her partnerwork with Artyon is beyond amazing and the tricks they did were impressive. Mandy commended the jazz content and her technique and Adam was impressed by her applying the corrections. Ariana thanks her partner and mentor for everything and for her friends and family for supporting her. Scores: 9 | 9 | 10 = 28. First 10 of the season!!! - Elimination Time! And the couple leaving this week is... Jason & Elliana! God, all these eliminations are so hit-wrenching, primarily because we want to see all the kids do well. He still had a great time on the show regardless. - Dance Ranking: 10 | 1.) Ariana & Artyon 10 | 2.) Mackenzie & Sage 9 | 3.) Miles & Rylee 9 | 4.) Sky & JT 8 | 5.) Mandla & Brightyn 7 | 6.) Jason & Elliana 7 | 7.) Akash & Kamri
November 13, 20186 yr Author Live from Hollywood, it’s the semi-finals on Dancing With The Stars! Six stars so in the semis for the first time, and yet another double elimination. This has gotten so messy. Will the disasters end? - scores: Carrie Ann | Len | Bruno First Dance: Dedication Dances Bobby & Sharna: Congratulations to Bobby for aiding in DWTS’ dropping ratings! At least he’s improving. He’s here because of the fans, and Sharna surprises him with a couple of his fans. I’m sorry but this dance is basically a Gleb dance in Week 1. The salsa steps that were there were extremely clunky and awkward and it was waaaaaaay too gimmicky for my liking. DeMarcus’ fans must be REALLY pissed. Also, I didn’t notice he was so... ripped! The fans appreciate his charisma even though it wasn’t a salsa. Carrie Ann points that he was ahead of the music. Scores: 7 | 7 | 7 = 21. Yeah, as I expected. This was a Week 1 dance for no-hopers! Bobby adds a few words about the fires in Malibu and raises awareness for those who are affected. - Alexis & Alan: The audience is a bunch of shippers. Milo’s surprised face  Alexis dedicates his dance to - no surprise - Alan. She has dedicated this season to her mother and Alan has supported her throughout the season. The showmance lives on! She glides through that dance floor so effortlessly and her lines are FANTASTIC. I kinda wish she used more of the stage. Bruno commends that Alexis knows her center and nailed her turns. Carrie Ann notices that her feet were off the ground but the dance was fantastic. Len, however, wanted more Waltz content. Scores: 9 | 9 | 10 = 28. Lmao what is it gonna take for them to get a perfect score? - Joe & Jenna: Another pair that has sent DWTS down the crapper as a whole. He dedicates this dance to his mom, grandma and girlfriend and Jenna wants this dance to encapsulate his love for the women in his life. Jenna... may have gone overboard with the sexuality. Well... what do you know? That was a decent performance! There was more fluidity and each move seemed to connect. Carrie Ann thought the dance was simple yet elegant and the transitions were fantastic. Len enjoyed it, but the problem was that there wasn’t enough to enjoy. Bruno thought he was solid as a base. Scores: 8 | 7 | 7 = 22. Okay, at least he got an 8. - Juan Pablo & Cheryl: He dedicates this Argentine Tango to his mother, a breast cancer survivor. For him, the AT should be strong like his mother’s fighting spirit. OMG I’M GETTING GILLES MARINI VIBES FROM THIS! It was sultry, those flicks were moving at light speed, and that lift at the end was SUBLIME. Definitely his best dance since his Samba. Len gives him a standing ovation and Carrie Ann salutes his artistry. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. OH MY GOD. I thought Milo had this wrapped up but I think JP might be giving him a run for his money! - Evanna & Keo: She dedicates this dance to one of her directors and closest friends, Simon Fitzmaurice, who was diagnosed with ALS and passed away just last year. She stated that he taught her to be consistently vibrant and believes this dance will be something that he would love. There’s a part of the dance where she’s hitting the accents and you just feel her exhale and it’s so powerful. WOW. She and Keo danced as one in this performance. Bruno commended her storytelling, and Carrie Ann believed she danced as she was the essence of life. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30 POINTS TO RAVENCLAW! Keo is totally getting a spot in the finale! He starts to break down because she has inspired him to become a better choreographer. - Milo & Witney: So one thing we didn’t know about Milo... he’s a legacy kid. His mother, Camryn Manheim, has won Emmys and is well known for The Practice and Ghost Whisperer. She raised him as a single mom and he’s an only child, and he believes that this will be a perfect opportunity to say the things he hasn’t said before. WHAT THE- this AT is also moving in LIGHT SPEED. I expected nothing less from a dance set to a song from Black Panther. HOLY SHIT THOSE LIFTS!!! I’M FREAKING DYING. HE DID THAT YOU GUYS! Carrie Ann appreciated the structural elements of the dance, and Bruno commended his strength and precision in his lifts. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. JUDGES WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! THAT DESERVED A PERFECT SCORE!!! - Second Dance: Redemption Dance Bobby & Sharna: Len visits the pair to help them with their redemption dance: the jive. It was Week 1 and he had waaaaay too much energy. He gives him pointers on his hand placements and flicks. Now THIS is a quality dance! His flicks were on point, the partner work was fantastic, and it was just gimmicky enough to work. And in traditional Bobby Bones style, he rips off the jacket to reveal a shirt with Len’s face on it. OMG never change *.* Len loved the energy in the dance - it was just as energetic as Week 1 but it felt more controlled. The judges praised his improved precision. Scores: 8 | 8 | 8 = 24. There we go! He’s so happy about everything! - Alexis & Alan: Bruno gives them a visit to aid them in their third jive of the season, and he wants them to refine those movements with their newfound showmance. For her it’s about kicking it and being this “mean girl” as Bruno says it. I loved the concept of aerobics as a jive, and she definitely didn’t disappoint! I felt like I was getting a workout during that dance! Bruno loved that she commanded attention despite the large amount of background dancers. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. FINALLY. Carrie Ann isn’t lowballing them like she has been for the past couple of weeks. - Joe & Jenna: Carrie Ann gets to help him with this Week 1 dance, which was... one of the worst performances in DWTS history. Ironic, considering he called her his favorite judge. There’s a bit of blasphemy because I remember Normani dancing to this for her redemption quickstep. But WOW, his timing has improved significantly since his last dance. Joe hugs Carrie Ann as a sign of gratitude for all her help. The judges loved the dance and could see the improvement. Scores: 8 | 8 | 8 = 24. A tad overscored but I’m glad that he got his personal best. - Juan Pablo & Cheryl: I... don’t even remember him doing the salsa but it must have been Week 1. And he was stunning, so let’s see how he can make that better. I’m actually impressed with this dance! There was a ton of salsa content and the atmosphere suited them. Carrie Ann was screaming, and there was much more praise from the other two. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. He’s got five perfect scores. Seeing him go home over Joe might destroy the show. - Evanna & Keo: I remember being so mad that Len gave them a 5 for their Week 1 foxtrot. He wanted her to improve on her posture and footwork and that she needs to follow him with this foxtrot. OMG REWRITE THE STARS!!! Not the best song for a foxtrot but we’ll take what we’re given. They really blended as one and she moved so effortlessly! Bruno appreciated that Evanna finished her movements and Carrie Ann almost broke down because of how she exuded freedom during that dance. Scores: 10 | 9 | 9 = 28 POINTS TO RAVENCLAW! A total of 58! Wow wow wow. Keo is really shooting for the stars here. - Milo & Witney: Another Week 1 dance! Carrie Ann thought he was good but he’s much better now, and she wants his arms to be more controlled. She wants more negative space and for him to open up with his body. I love how all of these dances are really using the entirety of the floor. Milo is moving with so much more finesse than during their last Cha Cha! It’s very reminiscent of Cody Simpson’s cha cha! Carrie Ann loved the undulations but thought that it was still a bit too wild. Len loved that there was a ton of joy in his dances. Scores: 9 | 9 | 10 = 28. Carrie Ann has been on some serious crack tonight. - Elimination Time! In Jeopardy: Joe & Jenna, Alexis & Alan, Juan Pablo & Cheryl. JOE IS OFFICIALLY IN THE BOTTOM. The bad news is that Juan Pablo is in the bottom. However, Evanna & Milo are in the finale!!! And the last couple who is safe is... Alexis & Alan!!! OH. MY. GOD. Eliminated: Joe & Jenna, Juan Pablo & Cheryl. This is... weird. Joe... I expected. THANK GOD. He definitely overstated his welcome. Juan Pablo... HOW?! Even the judges were pissed. Len said it perfectly when he said there was no justice. It’s a bittersweet elimination. Bobby does not deserve to be in the finals, but I’m glad that we ended up with two women in the finals after the misogyny that went on during the first six weeks. Milo is my winner pick but I thought JP gave him a run for their money. Whatever happens, I’m not entirely sure we’re gonna get him or Evanna to unseat JP from the overall leaderboard. Unless Keo or Witney can cook up a brilliant freestyle. - Next Week: It’s the finale! Okay this is moving waaaaaay too fast for me. I feel like this season hasn’t even begun but at the same time this season has gone on for far too long. Dance Ranking: 10 | 1.) Juan Pablo & Cheryl (Dedication) 10 | 2.) Evanna & Keo (Dedication) 10 | 3.) Milo & Witney (Dedication) 10 | 4.) Evanna & Keo (Redemption) 10 | 5.) Alexis & Alan (Redemption) 9 | 6.) Milo & Witney (Redemption) 9 | 7.) Alexis & Alan (Dedication) 9 | 8.) Juan Pablo & Cheryl (Redemption) 8 | 9.) Bobby & Sharna (Redemption) 8 | 10.) Joe & Jenna (Dedication) 7 | 11.) Joe & Jenna (Redemption) 6 | 12.) Bobby & Sharna (Dedication) Voted For: Evanna & Keo (+4), Milo & Witney (+2)
November 13, 20186 yr Author Total Week 8 Leaderboard: 58 | Evanna & Keo 58 | Alexis & Alan 55 | Milo & Witney 45 | Bobby & Sharna Imagine if we end up getting Evanna & Keo winning after all that has happened. I would be SHOOK to the core!
November 13, 20186 yr Come thru Evanna  I'd love her to win! Really shocked at Juan Pablo, I know it was just before the finale so not as much of a shock as Tinashe, but wow... Feels wrong that Bobby has made the final over him for sure. The others definitely deserve it.
November 13, 20186 yr Author Also of note: if Keo wins this season, he’ll be the first POC pro champion in 24 seasons.
November 15, 20186 yr Author DWTS Finale Setlist: Unfortunately it’s a one-night finale which means viewer votes will count less than usual, and in a season that’s so up in the air, it could come down to the wire. Still think Milo has a chance though unless the judges insist on underscoring him again like they have been the entire season. Live performances by: Dan + Shay, Lauren Daigle, John Schneider, Avril Lavigne, Robin Thicke, and - you guessed it - Tinashe is performing. Finale dances are split between encore performance and freestyle: Alexis & Alan Encore: Argentine Tango – “Swan Lake” performed by Ray Chew Live Freestyle: “Head Above Water” – live performance by Avril Lavigne Bobby & Sharna Encore: cha cha – “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer Freestyle: “The Greatest Show” by Panic at the Disco Evanna & Keo Encore: Tango – “Disturbia” by Rihanna Freestyle: “It’s Oh So Quiet” by Björk Milo & Witney Encore: Charleston – “Living in New York City” – live performance by Robin Thicke Freestyle: “Ain’t No Sunshine” (Lido Remix) by Bill Withers EVANNA AND KEO’S IS GONNA BE SO GOOD I CAN FEEL IT
November 19, 20186 yr Author DTWS Juniors write-up coming later but I just wanna say WTF IS GLEB DOING WITH CHOREOGRAPHY
November 19, 20186 yr Author Live from Hollywood, it’s DWTS Juniors! OMG @ Mackenzie dancing with Gleb, it makes me think about how much potential she would have had on the actual show. - scores: Val | Mandy | Adam Ariana & Artyon: Ariana reminisces about her family playing the song she chose on vinyl and she wants to use this song to give thanks to her family. Brandon wants more partner work for this salsa. OMG. This dance is so GOOD. Her hip action is actually pretty decent and she’s not getting too lost in the content. It’s a fresh and authentic salsa and I’ve never been more proud. Val considers salsa a street dance, and he applauds Ariana for keeping the flavor there. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. This does make me think about how well Tinashe would have done with a salsa :( - Mandla & Brightyn: THEY’RE DANCING TO STEVIE WONDER!!! There’s a nice confessional bit from the man himself. It’s nice to see the choreographers create dances with so much content this time. He makes for a strong base and they move very fluidly. It’s also nice to see Stevie Wonder himself sing   Adam called it his best dance of the night and Val commended the amount of care put into the performance. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. His highest score yet! - Akash & Kamri: Akash wants to pay tribute to his family and Witney concocts this plan to honor his family heritage for his dance. He explains that this Jai Ho his parents’ favorite song. There’s a lot of Bollywood influences in this without it looking too out of place and offensive to his family. The troupe also do a nice job with their elements. It’s extremely entertaining. Val praises Akash for staying in the center and not getting overwhelmed by every single element in the dance. Scores: 8 | 8 | 7 = 23. Lmao @ Adam scoring them lower. - Miles & Rylee: He gives thanks to his family and dances to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. He considers this as his family song. I love how well they pull off the form despite the height difference (Rylee is taller than him by a head). It’s such a cute dance and I can’t keep myself from smiling. Mandy compared this dance to how she guided Ryan Gosling with his projection of movement in La La Land. Val praises his ability to adapt to being shorter than his partner. Scores: 9 | 9 | 8 = 26. Damn, what is it gonna take for him to get a 10? - Sky & JT: Sky gives thanks to her family and praises their patience throughout her career. Her mom and brother flew in from Japan for this specific moment! We also get a good look at her little brother, who is so cute. I’m so impressed with how they handle such advanced choreography for their age; it looks like it belongs in the main show! Val praises her emotional range, and Adam tries to choke down some tears while critiquing. Scores: 9 | 10 | 10 = 29. I’m back to rooting for them now. Their last two dances have been FANTASTIC. - Mackenzie & Sage: We get to see her pay tribute to Maddie! Kenzie considers her the inspiration for her to start dancing and paved the way to her career. She had been knocked down by a lot of people (especially in the Dance Moms community who see her as someone in Maddie’s shadow), and it’s because of Maddie that she gained her confidence. Okay. So I was extremely excited about this dance because this would finally show her true potential as a ballroom dancer and get the naysayers to shut up about Dance Moms... and there’s barely any Samba content. COME ON GLEB. GIVE US SOMETHING. However, what little Samba that they did was PERFECT. Her batucadas were CLEAN and the side aerial was well executed. Val shouts out to Maks and resonates with Kenzie’s story as the younger sibling in a two-sibling business. Adam commends the connection the two Zieglers share with each other. Also OMG @ Nia and Holly in the audience! The Dance Moms fan in me is SCREAMING. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. Honestly I would give them a 9 bc the routine lacked Samba content. - Elimination Time! And the couple leaving this week is... Akash & Kamri! He takes this elimination with stride and gives a long speech thanking his mentors and fellow competitors. Such a sweet kid. Next week is Eras Night! - Dance Ranking: 10 | 1.) Sky & JT 10 | 2.) Ariana & Artyon 9 | 3.) Mackenzie & Sage 9 | 4.) Miles & Rylee 8 | 5.) Mandla & Brightyn 7 | 6.) Akash & Kamri
November 20, 20186 yr Pretty disappointed that the worst dancer in the finale ended up winning! I am happy for Sharna because she really did deserve it, but as overall teams the other three were SO much stronger. :(
November 20, 20186 yr Author Live from Hollywood, it’s the Dancing With The Stars Finale! Thirteen stars kicked off the season, and now we’re down to four. All the pros, a few special guest performers, and everyone who flopped return to celebrate this finale. It feels a little too quick. Idk. Who will win? Will Evanna whip up some magic and make Keo the first POC pro to win in 24 seasons? Will the power of love conquer all and send Alexis and Alan to the top spot? Will Bobby Bones do the unthinkable: win the Mirror Ball and jeopardize the entire future of the show? Or will Milo shatter records and become the youngest male to win the show? - scores: Carrie Ann | Len | Bruno First Dance: Encore Dances Alexis & Alan: Alan talks about how Alexis has had confidence issues before DWTS and Alexis gushes over how she’s happy to have danced with someone she has so much chemistry with. It is just as precise as I remember it. Her ballet skills were handled with grace and precision, and her flexibility is highlighted in the more intense part, all while keeping so much Argentine Tango content. Len noticed the juxtaposition of moods but pointed out a couple footwork issues. Bruno commends the focus. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. A 2 spot improvement! - Bobby & Sharna: Sharna’s right... how did we get here? We went from a promising season to worrying about a cancellation. The two of them explain how they’ve worked so hard with everything, with Sharna adding that she grew to love his spontaneity. He’s the underdog, and he embodies that label to a tee. So how are they gonna transform the Cha Cha trio into a stunning encore dance? Oh. They’re doing the Chinese typewriter. So yeah, other than Sharna revving up the Cha Cha content, we’re not missing much. Except for Tyler and Angela in the audience looking extremely uninterested. Bobby talks about how he loves the judges so much... he sounds drunk. Bruno mentions that whatever choreography Bobby takes on, there’s so much individuality in it. Carrie Ann loved everything... even the mistakes. Scores: 8 | 8 | 8 = 24. A 4-point improvement. A tad bit overscored, and I kinda miss Lindsey, but it’s expected for a finale dance. - (Is it just me or does Britt Stewart look like Iris West? Also HAYLEY FOR SEASON 28 PRO) Interlude 1: Dan + Shay perform “Speechless” This is... an okay song. It had a pretty good beginning but I suddenly got bored during the chorus. Seeing Sharna and Artem’s foxtrot/rumba fusion makes me mad that we never got fusion dances this season. Flashback: Week’s 1-4 From the brilliant dances to the infections personalities, as well as our first blind contestant in Danelle Umstead. Bobby’s flossing is still the weirdest thing ever in the history of the show. And Evanna’s waltz is one of my favorite dances of the season. And of course, the night that broke the season. Joe’s cringy salsa trio, DeMarcus injuring his finger, and Tinashe’s elimination. Interlude 2: Bachelor Boys salsa w/ Joe Amabile & Jenna Johnson Oh god. Let’s relive the worst dance of the season with even more cringiness from the Bachelor boys. I see Nick Viall from Season 24 (another infamous season) but he’s much better than Joe. At least Val is having fun dancing with his fiancée? I am SWOONING @ Wells though. (Speaking of which, what a great way to tie in the next Bachelor season! Colton Underwood leads the season with mad drama and a hypnotizing body to boot. I wonder how this show will recover from the piece of plywood that was Arie. The trailer also reveals that he leaps over the fence...) - Evanna & Keo: THEY’RE RELIVING THEIR TANGO!!! Evanna has grown so much, from the cutest thing ever into this confident woman. For her it’s not about having to prove herself but more about dancing for herself. She views her tango as a breakthrough dance because that’s when she threw all expectations away and danced for herself. WOW. JUST WOW. The house band screwed it up but brought it back near Evanna’s solo part, but other than that, it’s just as amazing as last time. Len’s glad that the pair took the correction from last time, and Carrie Ann is impressed by her evolution. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30 POINTS TO RAVENCLAW! HELL YES. Three perfect scores so far!!! AND A MESSAGE FROM EMMA WATSON OMG *.* - Milo & Witney: Robin Thicke joins them in recreating their New York Night Charleston. Milo *to Witney*: “And if you win, you’ll be the shortest female to win DWTS”  it’s even funnier when you know that she already won a season They’ve literally had such a ball and it shows in their dancing. Witney tells him that she’s never had a partner like him before. RELISH IT HONEY. OMG THEIR LIFTS ARE ON FIRE!!! They were just as electrifying as they were previously, but I kinda wish that the cameras focused more on them. Len says he didn’t like the Charleston as much previously but the dancing has grown on him. They took the correction, you guys! Bruno compares him to Zendaya - big things are coming for him! Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. FINALLY THE JUDGES AREN’T LOWBALLING HIM LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN ALL SEASON. - Interlude 3: DWTS Winter Tour showcase to “Electricity” So I guess this song has to be butchered on Strictly now? Tom also reveals that Bobby, Joe, John, Milo, Juan Pablo and more will join the pros on tour! Flashback: Week 4-8 So... the amount of misogyny managed to increase tenfold. We also had the surprising Disney Night non-elimination, team dances, and the Alexis & Alan kiss. KEO CRYING STILL GETS ME. We also have one of the worst eliminations in Juan Pablo. Interlude 4: Juan Pablo di Pace & Cheryl Burke perform their Argentine Tango HOLY SHIT I DIDN’T KNOW HE COULD SING OPERA. They’re amazing and I’m pissed that Bobby is still here. Someone should ask Juan Pablo how he feels about his elimination possibly killing the show off. Interlude 5: Tinashe performs “Fever” And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why she was cast for RENT. - Second Dance: Freestyle Alexis & Alan: Alan’s first freestyle! Alexis hypes Alan up and talks about how she uses dance to let her emotions out. Also we get Avril Lavigne performing! From the sky high catch into the huge group dance, it was STUNNING. Also not everyone can say that they danced to Avril singing live. Len commended the pair for keeping up with the song’s ambiance. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. Okay as expected. So can we talk about how many times they kissed during that interview! Erin also takes the time to milk this showmance once more by telling them they have time to confirm their relationship live. Like FOR REAL. Alan takes it back to Tom, of course. - Interlude 6: John Schneider performs “Walk A Mile In My Shoes” with Emma & Sasha It’s so cute seeing those two perform all the time, and it ends with Sasha making out with Emma and John acting like such a dad. - Bobby & Sharna: Sharna considers him the “greatest showman”— pun intended, I think. Bobby just wants to entertain the audience and is so thankful for Sharna’s coaching. The freestyle begins with Bobby narrating about his time on the show and Brendon Audie’s voice just ties everything up. But just when you thought it was over... THEY START FLOSSING. This show might actually be cancelled just yet. Still, it was such a great dance. Carrie Ann was amused by all the small details. Len was also impressed by the caliber and calls him his champion. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. WOW. - Milo & Witney: Witney has this genius idea to incorporate a ton of props in this freestyle. I have a feeling that there’s going to be some flub. I’m gonna miss them dancing together. OMG Milo is really making me remind myself that he’s JAILBAIT. The umbrella choreography goes off without a hitch, and there’s so many stunts that it’s hard to catch up! I’m also impressed with the amalgamation of ballroom dances in this freestyle. Carrie Ann was amazed at the diversity of the performance. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30. WHERE WERE THESE 10’s THE PAST THREE WEEKS?!?! - Evanna & Keo: KEO’S FIRST FREESTYLE!!! Keo gets very emotional about this because he feels that Evanna has become like family. I’m loving this freestyle already. ALSJDJDHSKFH SHE’S DANCING WKTH ALL THE PROS IN A RAINBOW OF TALENT. Also just the way they recreated the actual Bjork video... I’M SHOOK. The judges raved it, and Carrie Ann loved the tribute to the video while giving it a slice of individuality. Scores: 10 | 10 | 10 = 30 POINTS TO RAVENCLAW! A total of 60! I’ve never been more proud of Keo than I am now. He’s grown so much as a mentor and teacher and he’s definitely proven himself, not because he has a good partner, but because he had a partner who wasn’t dancing for scores but dancing for people’s hearts. - Results Time! Interlude 7: Lauren Daigle performs “You Say”. Wow @ a Christian artist getting that promo. Jesus take the wheel at this point. Nine weeks is still waaaaay too short for a season. And the winner is... (ps why does Evanna look so cute) Congratulations to... Bobby and Sharna!!! After that amazing freestyle... I knew it was coming. I don’t think words can describe how disappointed and angry I am right now. I don’t exactly know what went wrong this season. After Jordan Fisher and Adam Rippon, I thought the show was seeing that light that they lost after Season 24. Then this season happened and right now I’m not exactly sure if there will be a new season in the spring. I mean look at everyone’s reactions! It looked like the ceiling was gonna cave in! I’m glad for Sharna though, her stans can be less annoying now. But this is probably the WORST season of the show by far. My top 10 and bottom 10 dances to come soon! - Dance Ranking: 10 | 1.) Evanna & Keo (Freestyle) 10 | 2.) Evanna & Keo (Encore) 10 | 3.) Alexis & Alan (Freestyle) 10 | 4.) Bobby & Sharna (Freestyle) 10 | 5.) Milo & Witney (Freestyle) 10 | 6.) Milo & Witney (Encore) 9 | 7.) Alexis & Alan (Encore) 8 | 8.) Bobby & Sharna (Encore) And with that I say... thank u, next.
November 20, 20186 yr what the f*** Can the public just be stripped of being allowed to vote plz. He didn't even get 9s until the final and he the 8th highest average looking at Wiki - less than even Mary Lou and not actually far slipping to 9th behind John... I don't know as much about DWTS, but the only vague Strictly parallel is Chris Hollins, he basically won off of one brilliant Charleston (which was new at the time), was pretty average besides that. But Bobby didn't even have that, he was distinctly average the whole time against 3 great dancers. At least Chris got a few 9s throughout and 9s and 10s in the final so kinda caught up by the end even if he was still behind the others. DTWS really needs to have the Strictly formula because that's Juan Pablo, Tinashe and all the finalists robbed, maybe if Bobby had been able to slip into the dance-off we'd have been spared this but if he won maybe he was just running away with it the whole time :drama: HOW THE f*** DID HE MANAGE THAT THO. Is he stupidly crazily popular or something, I've vaguely heard of him because country stars have sang on his show but that's about it
November 20, 20186 yr Author It says it all that the person I predicted to finish LAST ended up winning. I’m a bit worried for the future of the show. The other three dancers may be pissed, happy for Sharna but disappointed that their hard work in choreography was wasted on a shambles of a season. Ratings weren’t that good to begin with and the budget must have gone down significantly because all the opening dances didn’t have the same spark as the ones last year. The show has been having trouble recovering from the massive bleed of viewers since Season 25 (one of the best seasons IMO). It makes me wonder if ABC will just pool their money on American Idol and leave DWTS to once a year or just abandon the show altogether. The new showrunner turned the show into a sinking ship. Then again I said the same thing when Portugal won Eurovision (and Sharna was clearly the Portugal of the show), and then next year turned things around and gave us the best top 2 in ages. Until then, it’s a funeral.
November 26, 20186 yr Author Live from Hollywood, it’s DWTS Juniors! Time Machine Night is basically Eras Night for the normal season, and hopefully Juniors can do some good damage control after the travesty that is the Season 27 finale. - scores: Val | Mandy | Adam Miles & Rylee: 1950s - It’s post-WWII America and everything is very wholesome and bright. Miles gives some 1950’s trivia, including the opening of Disneyland and the advent of frozen dinners. It’s an I Love Lucy themed jive, with Miles playing Ricky Ricardo. It’s such a bright dance and their technique is nothing short of amazing. She drops him (it’s on purpose), but I’m scared that he’s possibly injured himself. Adam applauds Milesfor seizing the moment, and Val tells him that he has so much soul. Scores: 9 | 9 | 10 = 28. Y’know... Adam usually never knows what he’s talking about but he made the right score here. - Mackenzie & Sage: I am very apprehensive about Kenzie doing jazz. I just want her to do another ballroom routine. Oh well. I hope Gleb hits it out of the park this week. He seems to be pushing them harder than usual and not relying on her picking up the choreography easily. So this dance is clearly inspired by Saved By The Bell... I kinda like it. That lift was tasty and the improvement in her technique is noticeable since her Dance Moms days. I also found that Sage was a bit late in that grande jete? The boys don’t think that she’s letting go as much but see her potential to win. I kinda wish Kenzie did an 80’s inspired dance in Dance Moms... Scores: 9 | 8 | 9 = 26. Kinda what I expected. It’s in her wheelhouse but... COME ON GLEB. GIVE US THAT ARGENTINE TANGO. - Mandla & Brightyn: It’s the future and they’re doing a Paso Doble! Taking a page out of Derek Hough’s book, aren’t we? I feel like Mandla’s not stretching as much as he should for this dance and letting the motion emit through his entire body. The troupe did amazing as always. Val thought it was missing an element of triumph which the Paso is known for. Adam is impressed by how far he’s come despite the lack of dance experience. Scores: 8 | 8 | 8 = 24. I think I’d love it more if I could tell what the theme was. - Ariana & Artyon: lmao at her mimicking the Disney Channel intro. When Brandon signals to Old Hollywood, she refers to Angelina Jolie, who is much farther from the 50’s. Brandon schedules a photo shoot to get Ariana to get into character. Their characterization is OFF THE CHARTS. It’s such a cute and still technically sound quickstep... honestly I’ve never been more proud of this couple. Mandy compares the quickstep to math in terms of difficulty and then proceeds to rave about the dance. Val praises their frame. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. I loved seeing her channel her inner Audrey Hepburn. - Sky & JT: Sky raves about her time with JT and Alan, honestly she’s so humble  JT points out the massive amount of tricks and lifts in this dance... I’m thinking that Alan’s a bit overzealous about this... This Charleston is very Gatsby-esque... expected this. Her solo parts were amazing, and the duo manage to marry the fast and slow parts of the dance well. That swivel was also tasty. *.* Adam praises her for being an amazing role model, exemplified by her work ethic. Val considers her a star in the making. Mandy reminds her to keep the tempo because she tends to rush through the music. Scores: 9 | 9 | 9 = 27. Wonderful. - Elimination Time! And the couple leaving this week is... Mandla & Brightyn! Another good elimination right there. Awww @ Sky crying for them, she has so much empathy! Next week is the Semifinals with a special duo dance! - Dance Ranking: 10 | 1.) Sky & JT 10 | 2.) Miles & Rylee 9 | 3.) Ariana & Artyon 9 | 4.) Mackenzie & Sage 8 | 5.) Mandla & Brightyn
