It might have been a bit of Dutch courage talking, but Keisha Buchanan vowed that she, Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range would beat their girlband rivals Girls Aloud, who also have a "best of" album in the charts. She said: "I see the release of two pop albums in such a short space of time as a celebration, after all we are all girls but we are going to win, of course.

i dont think keisha would of been serious. firstly sugababes and girls aloud are friends. nd if she did say it then she would of been joking around. i love both albums eitherway
They're both going to be very successful but I think GA should "win". They're doing a harder job promoting and what they've got to offer is miles better in my opinion.
I do agree, All of GAS songs have been top 10, a feat Sugababes have not had.

chart positions mean nothing! a song that flops can still be a great single. my keisha lol

SUGABABES have had a few good single an di mean a few, mainly freak like me,round round, hole in the head and ugly the other i dont like at all, girls aloud have had better singles with the exception of life got cold,
i love them both, but sugababes do more writing and sing live more often. but i love girls aloud equally, better quality songs

Well, so far Girls Aloud win the battle single-wise, with SKO being a bigger hit than Sugababes' "Easy" which is expected to make Top 10 (between 6-10) this weekend according to mid-weeks.

Something Kinda Ooooh debuted into the Top 5 on downloads only week, then soared into the Top 3 and stayed there for 2 weeks, now the single is dropping but it's still selling consistently, in spite of being included on the No.1 album "The Sound Of Girls Aloud".

I much perfer GA's singles - only really hate Jump by them - the rest I can tolerate or totally adore.

Sugababes are rather hit and miss - they release some amazing records but towards the end of each project they put out some right trash - 'Shape' 'Caught In A Moment' 'Follow Me Home' etc.

Also I enjoy GA's albums a lot more than Sugababes but I shall be buying both GH. (Well got the girls already :P )

I'm glad to know you bought the album :D I happen to agree with you, while Girls Aloud score amazing pop hit after another, Sugababes are pretty much inconsistent with their songs. They start-off amazingly well with astonishing pop anthems like "Freak Like Me" or "Push The Button" but then their songs tend to be not so great. In spite of liking them all, I have to agree that when a Sugababes' project is ending the sparks kind of fade away.

Looks like thier wrong, Sugababes album not number 1 in the midweeks. !

she didnt say they were going to beat them to no.1 in the charts did they. they might sell more overall.

eitherway i love both albums and have purchased both. i actually like girls aloud MORE because they are consistent but i also think that sugababes are more talented overall. :) apart from nadine being included lol. she beats all of the sugababes :P

I think that the sugababes have had better singles.. they are all completely different  erm i hope that the sugababes album will climb in a few weeks..... the only reason it didn't go to number one this week was because easy was very poor (unlike GA's Something kinda oooh) and maybe also because people think that it won't be the original songs as amelles picture is on the cover. GA have\had fantastic singles tho.
