Charts are not that important anymore, noone listens to them or really gives a f***.
Releasing on a Thursday really was a silly move though, they were 39 chart sales behind #1 in Ireland, no doubt they'd have been #1 if it was released on a Friday, and it's likely to miss the top 10 in the UK because of it too (it was #9 in the last set of mids but with very few sales separating it and the #10/#11 so it probably won't make the top 10).

no.1's is history my dear :)

Would have been nice but not massively important, album will be big and people are here for them...that's great

I am not that bothered too if compared like 10 years ago because youtube views and spotify stream counts are more important now

but still gutted 39 copies

ive written an article about streaming... do you know how can i publish it? i dont have any website or something..

idk any sites, you can post it on their fan sites
39 copies really sucks but considering this is the streaming era, who knows, they might end up no. 1 next week.

To miss out by 39 chart sales is frustrating.

Releasing on the Friday would have secured them a home number 1 in Ireland and safe Top 10 UK.

It's a joke though

You're allowed to think that, but you don't need to post a series of reactions with a number of expletives....

Okay, apologies. Just hate how the charts are now.
They are so back! that's all I can say. streaming era. thursday sales not included. highest charting since 2009.

They sold 20 575 copies.

On pursuit of their 15th No.1 single, the reformed Irish boy band Westlife made a good start when Hello My Love – their first single in more than seven years – topped Saturday’s sales flashes but it faded considerably as the week progressed, and debuts at a less stellar No.13 (20,675 sales). Penned by Ed Sheeran and producer Steve Mac, and taken from their upcoming 11th studio album, it is their 28th hit, and only the third to fall short of the Top 10.

So the sales were high on Saturday, that means Thursday didn’t really hurt them I guess.
