I think the soundtrack will be a big success (gold in the UK, platinum in the US), it has so much cross-over potential in the wake of TGS and others (well basically La La Land started it)

I think it could outsell Joanne and ARTPOP. Will it chart on the main albums chart too like TGS and Mama Mia ones did. I’m

Hoping so.

Soundtrack officially out *.*

I'll Never Love Again and Shallow are the diamonds but Why Did You Do That, Hair Body Face and Is That Alright complete my top 5 on first listen to all the studios (well Shallow is still live with the crowd noise). I can see a few of these creeping up with more listens though, INLA had the hype from the film being prominent in it and obv I've been spamming Shallow all week. NOTHING is going to touch INLA though

Chart wise how do people think this soundtrack will do this week? Could she get #1.

Twenty one pilots are also out so probably her biggest competition out the new releases.

Already heard the songs in film but I Can’t wait to get the album as studio versions! Ordered from HMV so should get it this weekend

I don't know if there should be a thread to soundtrack itself?

Anyway, I totally adore the soundtrack even before seeing the movie. It has some totally amazing tracks, such as Look What I Found (THOSE VOCALS OH MY GOD) and Always Remember Us This Way. Then there are plain and simple pop songs like just to point out that this is Ally and not Gaga - Gaga would NEVER settle on a song like Heal Me without adding some extra to it even though it's pretty close to The Cure. The dialogue makes this even better and glues it together. Bravo! 4/5

So do we think this will be #1 in the UK despite TOP?

I hope so. I don’t wanna sound too confident but I imagine Gaga will have more physical sales and more of a hard core fanbase too. On iTunes it was the number one pre order for a while and the film will have a lot of buzz too plus the streaming should be ok too Shallows back top 50 at least. I hope it gets to number one I’m keeping fingers crossed she does. I might be under estimating TOP but their singles from this album haven’t done too great have they and they had good streams last era too. I’m guessing streams may still be their pro though and actual sales could be Gagas.

Brilliant!

This is set to fight for #1 spot in the US

NEXT WEEK: A FOUR-WAY RACE?

Wait a minute, you say: We just called the ball on this week's chart and you're already... oh, fine. Anyway, we could be looking at a four-way battle for #1 on the next Top 50, with Interscope's A Star Is Born, Fueled by Ramen/Atlantic's twenty one pilots, Quality Control/Motown/Capitol's Lil Baby & Gunna and returning chart champ Lil Wayne (Young Money). They're all expected to trend north of 125k.

How much will opening box-office spike the Star ST? Will Wayne continue to earn big streams? Will we accidentally drink the bong water again? The answers to some of the questions will be forthcoming.

I think ASIB can do it!
