That's pushing it seems CMWYS is out of the top 75 and the album is dropping like a brick and isn't even GOLD yet in the UK. :(

According to todays kerrang (which has some great EV stuff in it) Lithium is out next monday! The video hasn't even premiered yet. How can they promote it? Its a great song and deserves a chance.

So, they suck the cocks of trash like Fall out Boy or MCR and act all snidey with Amy Lee.... :huh: I can understand, say, "Terrorizer" being like that because they're a full-on METAL mag and have zero tolerance for anything that they consider 'dumbs down' Metal, but Kerrang????? Mind you, Terrorizer would be incredibly unlikely to interview Ev anyway.... Unlike Kerrang, they actually DO have a consistency in their editorial and journalistic policies....

 

Just thought I'd introduce all the drama that's been taking place on various Evanescence forums the past few days.

 

A couple of weeks back evwebsite.com reported that Evanescence would be releasing four items for their Lithium single.

 

We would like to thank Kara for all these exclusive news she has just emailed us.. thank you so much! You've been precious!! The pics posted on here can be found in higher resolution in the Gallery.. this is the cover artwork for the upcoming EP for Lithium!!

 

Evanescence will be releasing 4 things for their upcoming single Lithium.

4. Lithium EP (CD/DVD)

 

The release date for the Lithium EP is still TBD but it will only be released in the UK. Similar to 'Anywhere But Home', the DVD will come with both an audio CD and of course the DVD. (Although you may just buy the audio CD which will count as UK's Lithium single)

This will probably be released a few weeks following the single releases.

 

HQ pictures of the Lithium EP CD and DVD cover were posted. Ecotone was a new track people had never heard of before. A lot of drama took place as a user lied about posessing the song.. but I won't go into that.

 

Then apparently, Windup records were cancelling the release of the EP that contained the CD and DVD, and a petition began to try and get them to release the DVD again.

 

Many threads discussing the unreleased track Ecotone were locked until someone could prove the existance of the song. Apparently, Amy e-mailed a moderator on the official EvThreads forum confirming that Ecotone does exist, and will never be a song by Evanescence.

 

But this then goes back to the tracklisting and the information release on the Lithium singles and EP. The website with this information is known to have contact with the record company. They recieved exclusive pictures from the Lithium Video set yesterday from the record company.. so they must have recieved the information about the Lithium releases too. It's all legitimate.. I don't understand why Ecotone cannot exist? It certainly sounds like it would be an Ev track.. but why would all of that be real, except for that one track?

Well evthreads have received confirmation, like you said, from Amy that "the Ecotone track is bogus. There never was and never will be a song called Ecotone by Evanescence."

 

It's all probably a big hoax, people can make their own pretty realistic covers quite easily these days and as for having contact with wind up it could be true but then again it might not. Any of us could find a few pictures that were new, tweek them a bit and call them exclusive. In my mind the dvd was probably never real and I'm thinking in original cd tracklisting of Lithium, The Last Song I'm Wasting On You, acoustic ATILF and video was probably the real one. But let's wait and see I guess. :) It confuses me too! :lol:

Hoaxers really p!ss me off tbh.... <_< Just what kind of sad tw@t do you have to be to actually spend time and do this stuff just to get people's hopes up and then take some sort of vicarious pleasure in seeing those hopes dashed...? I wouldn't even do that to the fans of an act I personally utterly detested...

 

Someone would have to be ridiculously bored to even contemplate making all that stuff up. It's just pathetic in my opinion too. I also really dislike a few bands but it would be cruel and an utter waste of time to cause trouble...but *sigh* people like that will never stop anyway!
