Posted October 8, 20186 yr 7th October 2018 Hello, sorry for the sudden absence of me and charts, been getting a skin carcinoma removed, and dealing with some parental caring issues and panic anxiety issues, but am now sat on my perfectly formed botty in a hotel in sunny hot factor 50 sunscreen gran canaria with days blissfully free from having duties and my whole day planned out in advance. Doing nothing and reading is just fab! I wont fill in the missing weeks as peak positions and weeks are listed anyway but ive gone a bit off the wall and am missing tracks from the last bjsc, though ive played a few yesterday to try and catch up. 3 weeks on top for classic Pet Shop Boys as the late Charles Aznavour belatedly enters my charts 44 years overdue with the fabulous She. I didnt like it at the time as it was a tv theme tune that appealed to older people and i was a sniffy 16 year old more into less MOR tracks. It took an Elvis Costello cover to change my mind, its a great song. New big climbs for new lovely tracks from Gallant and The O'My's into the top 5, and Mariah Carey gets into my 20 after quite a non-xmas gap and Jungle get a 2nd one. Soft Cell are back with their first new entry in 34 years, following a one-off O2 reunion and back catalogue push, though Marc Almond has dotted my charts over those years. Out of your top 10 Abba I love your top choice That's Me should never have been a B side! The A side is the most successful track in my charts ever, but That's Me also topped my charts and did a million. Ditto number 3, and 8 & 9 are just two of the greatest records ever made by anyone. :wub: I would have been shocked if Angeleyes didn't feature in your top 10, and Ring Ring and Honey Honey arent a huge surprise either, though I knew the Sweet Dreams version before I knew the Abba version :o The big surprises are 2 tracks I dont know that well - I have them but I havent played them a lot, Disillusion and I Am Just A Girl - I clearly need to revisit them! cheers!
