Would a lot of passive fans know his past? I didn't know until I read these forums tbh!

It's very well documented, I think it's part of his appeal for many of his fans too, and others just ignore it cos they like the music.

His music is easy to like, because Murda Beatz makes killer beats for him and he's mostly a guest on his own songs (Nicki has more verses on FEFE for example).

It's not my style anyway but weird that people would buy it because of what he did. Can understand people listening still because they like the music tbf even if I don't like it.

The fact 6ix9ine is a criminal is part of his appeal. It's disgusting but there's a huge segment of people that want to look hard and glamourize this messed up lifestyle.

 

I wouldn’t say Taki Taki is huge in the US either. It failed to go to top 10 and dropped out of the top 20 this week!

It's arguably a pretty big streaming hit. It just didn't get much radio support.

 

Taki Taki's biggest success stories are in Spanish speaking countries - it had lengthy #1 runs on Spotify in Spain, Mexico and Argentina for example. No surprise, Spanish music streams very well and seems to have an even bigger impact on YouTube!

It's also pretty huge on streaming in the US, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands. I think the UK is one of the only European countries where it didn't went top 10.
