Unexpected news. I blame Jess Glynne- she was fuming her song got stolen. This may be her revenge.
If this is about the us, idk what more syco can do ? Theyve serviced their music to radio, got them on the ariana tour, got them shows

They're signed to Columbia in the US

I don’t get why Syco get the blame with anything to do with Little Mix in the USA! I do think this is bad news for Little Mix as Syco really made them top priority in everything, I would love to know what’s going on between modest and Syco, I’m guessing little mix were unholy with who they were working with on their latest album? This album will probably make Syco more money though!

This shit is about to get a whole lot messier...

It sounds like to me, that he still respects the girls and that there is indeed an issue between him and their representatives, however the whole sentence about "artists thinking they're superior to staff" etc.. confuses me, coz I can't tell if he means LM (which would seem incredibly out of character for them) or whether it's just badly worded and misinterpreted by Dan Wooten (I mean it's Dan so that's def most likeliest lmao)

But then again, this is The Sun so could be all complete bollocks.

I actually believe Simon, NGL.

I just think that's a pretty honest interview and I can see him still having a good relationship with the girls as they are meeting this week.

The irony was the record they were arguing about, which is Woman Like Me, they didn’t want to record. This was one of those ironic times that we were having a hit and nobody was happy.”

I think it's just terrible wording on behalf of Dan tbh. Artists and labels clash all the time over singles. I reckon Simon's just had a hissy fit coz the girls shared a message which stated they want Nicki on WLM or they don't want to release it, which he probs pulled up their reps on and it escalated from there.

Edit: ofc this is just my theory and speculation haha.

So the girls didn't even want to record Woman Like Me?

Be interesting to see what they actually wanted for main single.

I wish the girls were a little bit diplomatic about Nicki over Cardi thing lol

why on a different article I've seen it stated they want to put their names on the woman like me songwriting credits even not getting the publishing royalties but Simon or Syco didn't allow it. is that right?

Not then claiming they always wanted Nicki to be on the song first but now they're being exposed as label puppets. They had no say in any of this lmaooo

Not really? They clashed over single choices and what they thought should be the first single.

Artists (manufactured or not) clash with their labels a lot of the time over this sort of issue. But ultimately the label win in the end, moreso for manufactured pop acts.

Simon seemed very honest in the interview so who knows but this outcome I think will either sink little mix success or they will get even bigger.Im just hoping they don't a spice girls Forever mistake.
That article on Simon probably focused more on LM because they were the company's biggest and most profitable act, and the WLM-related conflicts were just one part of something larger that had been brewing for years. Everything's all speculation until the truth eventually seeps its way through the cracks.

I sense its little to do with Little Mix themselves but more the management.

I have no doubt further stories will come, some untrue and some true.

Their attitude with the whole Nicki/Cardi thing hasn't helped them at all

I seem to remember they wanted to release 'Nothing Feels Like You' for the Sports Relief single rather than 'Word Up!' So this whole singles debate thing has gone on for a while.
