Q) Your greatest hits are out. Are you suprised by your success?

(A) We didn't join the band to be one-hit wonders. We always planned to work hard and do our best. We're really lucky and appreciative, though. Ninety percent of the success is down to the music. People seem to like it - thank God.

(Q) What is your favourite Girls Aloud Song?

(A) Love Machine But i like alot of them for different reasons. Certain songs made things happen for us and they have special memories attached.

(Q) Are there any outfits you look back on and cring over?

(A) Loads and loads. You think you look great at the time but six months later you think : 'Oh my God! Why?' Just look at No Good Advice video outfits. They were like space suits. We were told silver was going to be big in the next season. We were Young and impessionable.

(Q) Do you get more say over what you wear now?

(A) We always have. We were always saying: 'We hate that, we won't wear that.' The sad thing is those horrible outfits were things we actually liked. We have no one to blame but ourselves. It's the worst, because you can't say: 'That stylist was c**p. look at what she made us Wear.

(Q) Who is your best mate in the band?

(A) You go to different people for different things - it's all on par. If you want to go out for a night, you'll phone Sarah. If you want a nice conversation, you'll talk to one of the rest of them.

(Q) What is the biggest row you've ever had in the group?

(A) It's usually the five of us against someone else - whether it's the record company, management, anybody, because we're all fighting for the same cause. We tend to win the arguements. If you haven't thought of a point, then one of the others will chip in with 'and another thing'. Ha ha ha. It Works Well.

(Q) How difficult is it to maintainyour long-distance relationship?

(A) It's easy. Whats hard is missing him. We see each other every few weeks for at least a couple of days. It's fine. He comes over from America because the band's been working so much.

(Q) You've got him well trained.

(A) He's a nice boy.

(Q) The X Factor is back. How do you think you'd have done on it?

(A) I repect the contestants for putting themselves through the humiliation. Popstars: The Rivals was nerve-racking enough and there was only Will Young and Hear'Say before us. The public wasn't sick of it by then. you're ill with nerves. You know whats's at stake.

(Q) Do you ever feel that Nicolas ginger hair overshadows the rest of you?

(A) No, i love her hair. her pale skin and hair colour is very striking.

(Q) You sing a lot of the leads. Do the others get jelous?

(A) No, thats just the way it is. Everyone has her role to play. It's a lot of work but it's fun. I'm having a good time. Sometimes I get up and think 'Work? as if i'm actually working.'

(Q) So you're not in a hurry to be the female Ronna Keatin?

(A) Erm.. nope. I'm enjoying what I'm doing right now, thank you.
