From your first bunch of songs, I like: "Blah Blah Blah" (it's currently a big hit in my country), ""Came Here For Love" (really good song by both Sigala and Ella Eyre), "Jumanji" (Really enjoy it for what it is), "Sex, Love & Water" (Really groovy and a fun song), "Hearts Ain't Gonna Lie" (The Jonas Blue remix really made me like this song a lot) and "Bodak Yellow" (Decent song, even though Cardi B has made a lot better songs now)

Great start!

I found your hate chart less objectionable than normal tbh :kink: definitely here for the 6ix9ine hate :puke:

The Good Place is an incredible shout for fave TV show!! Jameela's actual impact lives on :jameela:

Bodak Yellow is my favourite in that section, it didn't make all that big an impact in my chart at the time but Cardi's continued presence + iconic meme status has seen it hold up well in my affections!

The good place is incredible *.* (that reminds me I'm so behind on season 3 urgh 😭)

Also I'm not here for this end game hatred. Though at least ur top 10 isn't as tragic as last year x *cough* LWYMMD *cough* I hate most of ur top 10 which is a start *.* tho whilst I'm so here for your #1, I do love 2002!

Hyped for your top 250 *.*

It's still good in season 3! S3 finale should be coming soon so I'm looking forward to that.

Well hopefully Taylor improves for her next album so I don't have to include her in my hate chart section. :P Good to see us agreeing on quite a few here anyway.

H8Chart comments:

Miss You: haven't heard

changes: not very fond of this one. My faves from XXX would have to be Riot and Infinity 888.

Girls Like You: This is a fun bop. Also, did you know that Todd In The Shadows considered this the worst Maroon 5 song.

Naked: Meh

Personal: Okay-ish. I Wish You Were Here is quite a guilty pleasure for me.

Gummo: Oh, I don't know how I feel about this one.

Famous: Meh. The Yodelling Walmart meme was amusing though.

Ding-A-Ling: I didn't like this.

2002: Decent.

Freaky Friday: This one's a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

Ooh, I need to see Infinity War (after I see Avengers 2012 and Age Of Ultron)

I liked Last Jedi, Black Panther and Bohemian Rhapsody and would love to see Deadpool 2.

I'm enjoying the Jodie Whitaker Doctor so far, and would love to get into B99 and South Park sometime.

Scorpion was pretty good.

Beerbongs and Bentleys was decent.

Kamikaze and Always In Between were both good.

Infinity War is a must see, you don't have to watch the other Avengers films to get it either though if you're going to you may as well watch in order.

I'm liking Jodie so I hope she stays on, but the writing could really be improved. I'm enjoying the season but it's far from the classic Eccelston/Tennant era.

Cool! There'll be a lot more songs here that you like too.

The hate chart seems to have gone down better this year than most, I guess it helps that there's a lot of bad songs around though!

Yeah I've really enjoyed TGP, and Jameela is of course my fave in it. *.*

I'm not quite as big a fan as you but I've quite liked most of her output, good to have her as a big name rapper.

Came Here For Love is a good dance track.

Jumanji is decent.

I quite like Bodak Yellow, "say lil bitch, you can't f*** with me if you wanted to"

. J Hus ~ Bouff Daddy
Date entered: 05/01/18
Chart sales: 244,700 :silver:
Chart run: 51-49-59-84-x-95-x [5 weeks]

Catchy rap hit from early in the year, he could never top Did You See but this was about half as good which is something he hasn't done since, with the EP he dropped halfway through the year being very disappointing.

. TheFatRat ~ Elevate
Date entered: 27/07/18
Chart sales: 244,900 :silver:
Chart run: 22-37-38-45-92-75-89-x [7 weeks]

TheFatRat did a project for a online game (Dota 2) which gave us the 21 minute album 'Warrior Songs', none of the songs on it are amongst his absolute best (understandably, being written for this game) but this one stood out the most as it's the closest to his usual material.

. Stefflon Don ~ Hurtin' Me (feat. French Montana) [#96, 2017]
Date entered: 25/08/17
Chart sales: 245,300 (814,300 total) :plat:
Chart run: 59-46-39-33-21-18-16-18-18-19-21-21-21-24-26-35-39-69-x-47-64-67-88-x [8 weeks (20 total)]

After a great year with features I was very excited for what she'd come up with as a lead artist as a breakthrough single and the result, 'Hurtin Me' was very impressive. With a big hook and a reference to Rihanna's 'Work' I was definitely going to love it. Shame she kinda killed that momentum with the awful 'Ding A Ling' but I still have hope for her, she could easily recover and just let that sink as a buzz single quietly. It would've been nice if she did a bit of rapping on this song too but her half-singing works, and the French Montana guest verse is the best guest verse he did all year, it doesn't feel phoned in like his others. Both French and Stefflon still have one more entry to come each.
Well, Stefflon never truly recovered. 'Senseless' was quite good, and made the bottom end of my chart (but does not make the EOY), and that was basically it, wasn't interested in her flop mixtape.

Chart sales: 246,100 :silver:
Chart run: 98-73-53-47-31-39-46-58-83-x [9 weeks]

I don't rate DV&LM these days, and indeed they haven't had a hit for years in my chart, but this team-up with KSHMR was great.. mostly because of KSHMR no doubt. I particularly love the sudden switch up in the middle where it all goes proper Latino on us before quickly building up again.

#
. Eminem ~ Fall (feat. Justin Vernon)
Date entered: 07/09/18
Chart sales: 247,100 :silver:
Chart run: 12-17-20-28-42-43-49-56-x [8 weeks]

Well it was great to have Eminem back for real, this really took me by surprise as just the other day I was wondering if he really was past it, but no he came back to prove all the haters and critics wrong. *.* This was the best to be taken from it, minus 1 or 2 questionable lyrics, it really sums up what he wants to say with this album and the hook is enjoyable too.

#
. Future ~ Mask Off [#06, 2017]
Date entered: 24/03/17
Chart sales: 247,600 (1,659,500 total) :plat: :plat:
Chart run: 91-29-16-13-8-10-11-16-15-17-18-20-18-20-19-27-20-19-18-16-14-19-20-23-20-26-30-26-30-30-30-36-54-57-73-58-86-59-58-86-x-64-60-64-85-x [8 weeks (44 total)]

Now I never really got Future, his style of over-autotune mumble rapping with drab production never interested me, but this... this is proper amazing. With an immensely catchy hook, an amazing flute sample and all-round great production, this quickly grew on me and refused to age for quite a while. The lyrics are basically standard for the genre, with Future bragging about how rich he is and all the drugs he's doing, and it's not really something I should love, but I can't deny a song this good. Definitely a standout of the recent takeover of US rap.
Not much more to say here, this just about got enough weeks in the new year to hold on to an EOY position again, still a tune.

#
. Kanye West and Lil Pump ~ I Love It (feat. Adele Givens)
Date entered: 14/09/18
Chart sales: 248,100 :silver:
Chart run: 19-8-13-22-39-37-51-88-x [8 weeks]

I enjoyed the novelty of this for a few weeks but for a top 10 peaking single it had a very short chart run, it won't be going down as one of Kanye's classics for sure anyway, can't see it ageing well. It's got a good bassline and catchy hook, and I enjoy it for what it is but ultimately it's very short with not all that much to it - not that any of Kanye's serious songs this year have been any better, mind. Although it may as well be Lil Pump's song seeing as he has most of the lines, Kanye's part is the highlight.

#
. Leona Lewis ~ One More Sleep [#244, 2017]
Date entered: 16/12/13
Chart sales: 248,400 (850,800 total) :plat:
Chart run: 17-22-x-47-x-40-12-x-17-9-x-25-23-2-3-x-24-2-2-2-x [4 weeks (15 total)]

Here we go again, interestingly with every year passing Leona has re-peaked with 'One More Sleep'. Initially charting at #17 in 2013, it has climbed to #12, #9 and #2 in subsequent years. Could 2017 be the year it finally makes #1?? We'll have to wait and see, but so far this song has aged brilliantly and is up there with my ultimate seasonal faves now. G'won Leona. Prove the NEIGHsayers wrong (geddit).
Well it couldn't quite make #1 but it actually does better in the EOY than the Hurts Christmas track which held it off, that's just one of the many oddities of my points system including playcount lol. Seeing as it is December again we should expect her to make a chart comeback and perhaps go all the way this time, great to see it becoming a definite future Christmas classic anyhow, its Spotify performance this year so far has been great.

#
. Jax Jones ~ Instruction (feat. Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don) [#24, 2017]
Date entered: 23/06/17
Chart sales: 248,500 (1,413,800 total) :plat: :plat:
Chart run: 1-1-2-2-2-2-2-2-8-8-9-9-11-16-22-26-28-29-24-37-40-55-64-82-88-x-89-100-x [4 weeks (27 total)]

From Duke Dumont to Jax Jones, and who'd have thought that Jax Jones would go on to be even bigger than Duke when 'I Got U' came out? 'Instruction' was of course the follow-up to the huge hit 'You Don't Know Me', still to come in this countdown, and the song instantly went to #1 just from the excitement of having another Jax single before being knocked off two weeks later by Calvin Harris. Which also means we have the odd statistic of Demi Lovato being one of the few people to have a single enter at #1, despite her being one of my least favourite singers. It's fair to say she doesn't ruin this song at all though (as I feared) with her sassy vocals fitting the song's vibe, and the lack of screeching that made 'Sorry Not Sorry' my least favourite hit single of the year. The Stefflon verse is great too and the unique production from Jax really makes this song so infectious. To date it is his only #1 as follow-up 'Breathe' has so far only managed to peak at #4, though at its current rate it looks likely to make the 2018 EOY so this should be another great year for him.
Jax only went one better with 'Breathe', although that didn't manage to outpeak #4 it is very much a contender for this year's EOY #1... could he do it again after YDKM last year? 'Instruction' remains big though, and still a lot better than other follow-ups 'Ring Ring' and 'Play', the former which we'll get to later in the countdown.

#
. Above & Beyond ~ Tightrope (feat. Marty Longstaff)
Date entered: 26/01/18
Chart sales: 252,000 :silver:
Chart run: 69-12-14-50-90-91-x [6 weeks]

And so we get to the first of ten Above & Beyond entries, so yes this is one of the weaker tracks on the album, but still great. They are top of the game when it comes to progressive vocal trance of which this is a fine example of, though now it doesn't stand out too much amongst the rest of their brilliant album (it did initially peak higher than quite a few of their tracks yet to come, but didn't hold up as well).

Personal recommendation

What are your favourites from the chart so far? Any comments are appreciated.
Giving Opa a listen, it's what I'd expect from the contributing artists but it is sounding nice. Bouff Daddy was very catchy as well, even if the topic isn't really my thing ;)

. Lika Morgan ~ Holding On [#136, 2017]
Date entered: 15/09/17
Chart sales: 252,600 (683,900 total) :plat:
Chart run: 83-53-19-18-20-23-44-45-30-39-34-35-46-52-71-x-55-69-74-89-88-85-x [10 weeks (21 total)]

Chart readers may recognise Lika Morgan from last year's EOY #10 'Make Your Move' with Croatia Squad, she hasn't quite been able to get another similarly big hit but this is half as good which is still great in my view. Repping it for the female dance producers too.
It's a nice house tune and a rare song of hers that doesn't rely on a sample, worth a listen.

#
. Brunelle ~ Ladykiller (feat. Laura White)
Date entered: 09/03/18
Chart sales: 253,800 :silver:
Chart run: 43-38-35-47-47-66-65-99-x [8 weeks]

The first of a few BJSC discoveries here, entered by Ramrynia this one which got Laura White the most relevance she's had since her voice was pitched so much on Galantis' 'Love On Me' that barely anyone noticed she was on it. Nice fun housey bop anyway.

#
. Andrew Rayel and HALIENE ~ In The Dark
Date entered: 08/06/18
Chart sales: 254,500 :silver:
Chart run: 18-23-27-30-45-49-73-98-x [8 weeks]

This saw big trance producer Andrew Rayel team up with HALIENE from BJSC winning track 'Saving Light', which of course made for a good song though it remained overshadowed by a certain other Andrew Rayel song we'll see a lot later in the countdown. HALIENE's voice is lush as always anyhow.

#
. James Hype ~ More Than Friends (feat. Kelli-Leigh) [#61, 2017]
Date entered: 14/07/17
Chart sales: 255,400 (984,200 total) :plat:
Chart run: 94-49-33-30-32-28-17-14-16-18-24-31-41-47-50-50-65-65-77-71-99-x-90-90-x [3 weeks (23 total)]

It's been a great year for house reworkings and here is another one, this time from 90s hit 'Don't Let Go' which got retitled for whatever reason. At less than 2.5 minutes it could have suffered from being too short but it doesn't, as there's barely any beat-less sections like many dance hits now, it just bangs all the way through. I'd love more of these songs to hit the charts and this becoming such a hit was a welcome surprise.
Lol at this managing to get this high with its #90(!) peak for the tracking year, got a lot of spins at the gym though, banging tune.

#226. Chicane ~ A Love That's Hard To Find (feat. Paul Aiden)
Date entered: 15/06/18
Chart sales: 255,600 :silver:
Chart run: 13-18-28-34-66-71-x [6 weeks]

The first of a few Chicane songs, this one is quite a subtle deep house bop, and for a (mostly) trance producer he does do deep house well too, giving it a bit of a trance feel. Ultimately another track of his did this sound a fair bit better, which we'll see later on.

#
. MGMT ~ Little Dark Age
Date entered: 10/11/17
Chart sales: 255,700 (362,400 total) :silver:
Chart run: 96-58-42-38-33-36-75-x-66-67-66-67-94-x [9 weeks (12 total)]

Who knew they had it in them to do another great song? It's no 'Kids', mind, but very much worth a listen.

#
. Calvin Harris ~ Rollin (feat. Future and Khalid) [#10, 2017]
Date entered: 19/05/17
Chart sales: 256,700 (1,563,300 total) :plat: :plat:
Chart run: 2-2-2-1-2-6-10-7-8-11-10-11-12-18-30-29-25-28-32-34-35-37-33-34-49-59-74-61-80-55-54-85-x-74-81-x [6 weeks (34 total)]

Perhaps an odd choice of Calvin Harris song to put in my top 10 as it was only ever a promotional single (though it was his third-best performing song of the album on Spotify above 'Heatstroke' so at least there is that) but for me it is up there with his very best. We got a little taster of this a week prior to its release and ever since then I knew it was going to be something special. With Khalid being a rising urban star it made good sense for Calvin to include him in this project and he does a brilliant job here, his voice sounds so much mature than his actual age. The hook about rollin' on the freeway makes this an excellent driving song too and Future's verses compliment the production very nicely too. The instrumental parts are the best in the entire album and the song as a whole is so infectious. It sounds like it would age really nicely too, plus I would rank it above 'Slide' except that one had more time to rack up chart points so stay tuned to see where that ends up.
Nothing more to say on this one, Calvin's had another great year though I'll miss him doing songs like this, 'Rollin' remains one of his greats.

#
. Drake ~ Mob Ties
Date entered: 06/07/18
Chart sales: 259,300 :silver:
Chart run: 31-21-27-70-71-73-95-97-x [8 weeks]

The clear highlight from Drake's album tracks, wish this was his AT that randomly stuck around for a while instead of 'Nonstop'. Would've been a UK top 20 if not for artist cap rules, it's worth a listen if you liked his big hits of the year.

#
. Martin Garrix and Justin Mylo ~ Burn Out (feat. Dewain Whitmore)
Date entered: 21/09/18
Chart sales: 259,900 :silver:
Chart run: 97-94-92-69-43-41-45-46-60-84-x [10 weeks]

Martin Garrix clearly has it in him to make banging commercial house tunes, like this one, so 'Ocean' ever happening was a real disappointment. This is nothing groundbreaking but a nice upbeat tune.

#
. Famous Dex ~ Pick It Up (feat. A$AP Rocky)
Date entered: 26/01/18
Chart sales: 263,200 :silver:
Chart run: 80-80-74-63-53-49-57-78-83-x [9 weeks]

A minor US rap hit, which I'm sure Buzzjack would hate if they ever actually heard it but I think it's rather catchy.

Taken from BJSC, this one has an infectious groove, reminiscent of Music Sounds Better With You, it's great to hear a song like this in 2018 when the short lived disco influenced house trend seemed to end a while ago.

#
. 21 Savage ~ Bank Account [#69, 2017]
Date entered: 04/08/17
Chart sales: 264,200 (939,500 total) :plat:
Chart run: 51-28-27-28-33-36-44-55-41-43-32-31-27-22-19-17-20-23-30-40-79-x-57-58-62-87-x [8 weeks (25 total)]

21 Savage seemingly came out of nowhere to become one of the biggest rappers of 2017, possibly helped by being featured on a Drake track but it was with this song that he really blew up and eventually made an impact on my chart. Not everyone's cup of tea but I do like this kind of rap a lot, the production and sample are excellent (and apparently 21 produced the song himself though it definitely has a Metro Boomin influence) and the hook is proper catchy. Unfortunately this just missed out on a UK top 40 peak but it had great longevity, and it was quite a steady grower on my chart eventually making the top 20 on its 15th week.
This really was a fluke hit then, he hasn't had one since, minus the feature on 'rockstar' of course which we'll see a lot later in this countdown.

Date entered: 16/02/18

Date entered: 19/10/18
Chart sales: 275,600 :silver:
Chart run: 32-22-21-21-21-22-22-… [7+ weeks]

I don't like Kodak Black as a person or rapper but this is an undeniable tune, even Kodak's parts are good here (although his verse is the weakest part of the song) but it's the production that really sells it, love a steel drum.

Personal recommendation

What are your favourites from the chart so far? Any comments are appreciated.

Pick Up is a relaxing tune.

Bank Account, I quite like; and Joyner Lucas did a fire remix of it.

I also like My Lover and Zeze.

Disappointed to see Freaky Friday at the top of your hate chart, one of my faves of the year.

Bodak Yellow/Zeze - It seems only fair that Kodak has got a hit now seeming how huge Cardi got from ripping off his track.

Fall - Some of the lines from this are genius and some are poor but I wasn't able to get into this anywhere near as much as most of the other tracks from the album.

I Love It - I seriously dislike Lil Pump but this song is just too catchy to deny. Kanye's pretty funny in the video too to be fair.

Bank Account - One of my faves from last year. I'm very partial to a good 21 Savage verse. I love his almost disinterested flow.

Also loving Bouff Daddy, Mask Off, One More Sleep & My Lover. :D

Mob Ties and Pick It Up are okay.

thanks for the comments! not really familiar with Joyner Lucas beyond his Eminem feature, I may check out his remix anyhow cos he was great in 'Lucky You'.

It does have a distinct KSHMR sound to it, I do enjoy a lot of his material though.

okay your opinion is invalid if you hate the middle but like zeze
ZEZE bangs tho

The hook really sold 'Fall' for me, I think Eminem's lyrics best lyrics this era are in 'The Ringer' but that track doesn't hold up as well on repeated listens and it's just over 5 minutes of continuous rapping.

Lil Pump is really someone we could do without tbh, I just got reminded of his 'Drug Addicts' song yesterday which is terrible.

I'm not too keen on 21 Savage myself but Bank Account is undeniably catchy.

thanks for the comments!

Had to give Discovery Channel a listen just out of curiosity :P The beat and drop are quite groovy I agree!

My Lover was a nice urban UK-Afrobeats track to start the year off with, quite the earworm for the time it was in the charts for!

Bank Account was so frustratingly close to the top 40, deserved better!

. Chicane ~ Serendipity (feat. Tracey Ackerman)
Date entered: 15/06/18
Chart sales: 277,100 :silver:
Chart run: 15-15-21-24-31-41-89-x [7 weeks]

A lovely vocal atmospheric track, it doesn't even have a beat but it's a great listen.

#
. Above & Beyond ~ Sahara Love (feat. Zoe Johnston)
Date entered: 02/02/18
Chart sales: 278,100 :silver:
Chart run: 24-19-19-31-37-75-x [6 weeks]

Zoe's voice is wonderful and it's yet another well produced track from A&B.

#
. Orjan Nilsen ~ Without Kontakt (feat. R-Lend)
Date entered: 01/12/17
Chart sales: 278,300 :silver:
Chart run: 57-42-46-55-x-53-61-75-90-97-x [9 weeks]

Another random trance instrumental, very much a hands in the air song but melodic too.

#
. Eminem ~ Walk On Water (feat. Beyoncé)
Date entered: 17/11/17
Chart sales: 280,300 (363,600 total) :silver:
Chart run: 18-21-21-26-29-34-93-29-52-x [7 weeks (9 total)]

Em got a lot of stick for this to the point where he referenced 'Walk On Water-gate' in earlier entry 'Fall', but I think it's done very well. I enjoy the nod to 'Stan' (another great song of his) in the writing sound effect and outro, and it's one of his better reflective tracks where he raps about the struggle of staying on top for so long and coming up with new rhymes. I suppose I do enjoy a piano ballad, which this essentially is, a bold move from him. Less said about follow-up single 'River' the better though.

#
. Offset and Metro Boomin ~ Ric Flair Drip
Date entered: 05/01/18
Chart sales: 281,700 :silver:
Chart run: 85-78-33-33-42-61-88-x [7 weeks]

With one of the best urban beats of the year it was no surprise this took off, Offset has a great flow as ever too, one of his best efforts, the combination of his catchy hook and Metro's beat makes for a banging track.

#
. MoStack ~ What I Wanna
Date entered: 13/04/18
Chart sales: 281,900 :silver:
Chart run: 90-66-100-98-86-64-49-72-95-x [9 weeks]

I love a piano riff and overall this is another catchy rap tune, the production really makes it stand out amongst the rest especially when so many rap hits used the same old afro bashment production.

#
. DJ Licious ~ Twisted Games (feat. Jack Hawitt)
Date entered: 20/04/18
Chart sales: 284,400 :silver:
Chart run: 33-68-73-41-23-25-28-34-70-x [9 weeks]

DJ Licious has become a consistent hit in my chart, this is his lowest charting song so far but it's still great, he's yet to put a foot wrong since his breakthrough 'I Hear You Calling'. This one here is fairly standard commercial house but it's a good tune.

#
. Watermät ~ Need U
Date entered: 27/07/18
Chart sales: 284,900 :silver:
Chart run: 69-68-43-36-44-58-80-x [7 weeks]

Watermät hasn't had such a great 2018 after getting 2 huge hits last year, but this is another groovy deep house track from him, just wish he'd put out more tunes though as this is the only song of his to have been released this year!

#
. Sofi Tukker ~ Best Friend (feat. NERVO, The Knocks and Alisa Ueno) [#151, 2017]
Date entered: 22/09/17
Chart sales: 286,800 (685,800 total) :plat:
Chart run: 11-11-12-17-22-25-38-35-36-43-37-40-44-82-x-61-59-55-65-78-x [9 weeks (19 total)]

Sofi Tukker I have been familiar with for a while but only towards the late end of this year did they really bring out the goods, we'll see their other big hit later but they followed that with 'Best Friend' which is a great mishmash of whatever dance genres there are with fresh production and catchy hooks all around. If this is all leading up to an album then I am looking forward to hearing it.
Don't think I actually listened to their album oops. This was quite unlucky in its release date as it would have got more than enough points to go top 100 otherwise, a solid tune from them that they haven't reproduced since to my knowledge.

#201. Weiss ~ You're Sunshine [#86, 2017]
Date entered: 28/07/17
Chart sales: 287,900 (880,200 total) :plat:
Chart run: 70-48-35-39-38-42-46-51-52-65-67-51-45-45-44-29-23-25-33-68-88-x-69-80-89-x [6 weeks (24 total)]

A great proper house banger, released in 2016 I believe so I was late to the party but it sounded so good for the summer. With its piano backing, upbeat production and positive vibes all throughout it is basically the song MK wished he released.
Well, we'll see another song of his a LOT higher up, this remains great but he really bettered himself this year with 'Feel My Needs'. Just wish he was more consistent though, most of his other tracks are boring tech house!

Personal recommendation

Hello E very nearly a top 10 for you! It's a toss up between that & my current entry for my personal fave this year.

Absolutely loved Ladykiller, still spin that quite regularly.

Opa was a cracking tune! They are very hit & miss but that was brill.

Yep, Lika usually has a good beat, she's racked up a few hits in my chart now.

My Lover also had something a lot of the other "urban" tracks don't, actual sentiment.

Bank Account was so frustratingly close to the top 40, deserved better!
That was so annoying especially when the much weaker 21-featuring 'Bartier Cardi' scraped in at #40 when it should've been 'Bank Account' being lucky enough to do so.

It was a great find, I must say though its #11 peak is about right as all the songs that were top 10 that week are still to come in the countdown.

Ladykiller also one of the best BJSC entries of the year, there's not too many of those still to come.

DV&LM are far more miss than hit for me so 'Opa' was surprisingly good even considering KSHMR's involvement.

thanks guys!

Walk On Water is pretty good, even though the production sounds like a demo.

Ric Flair Drip is qutie fun.

That piano line from What I Wanna you mentioned was sampled from Brenda Russell's 1979 song Little Bit Of Lovin'. Other artists to have this sampled in their music include Ariana Grande (The Way) and the late Big Pun (Still Not A Player).

Note: This will resume properly in about a week from now, I have a few things going on at the moment so can't devote the time I want to for this. Commentary for the below ten songs will also come later but here's just the songs to keep the thread going.

#
. Simon Patterson ~ Fall For You (feat. Lucy Pullin)
Date entered: 30/03/18
Chart sales: 288,000 :silver:
Chart run: 76-76-73-68-x-86-82-36-35-45-50-94-x [11 weeks]

A lovely trance song, In typical Simon Patterson style it has an amazing build then a sub-par non-melodic drop, which I find quite annoying in these songs, but it's still a great tune though.

#
. Martin Garrix ~ High On Life (feat. Bonn)
Date entered: 03/08/18
Chart sales: 290,000 :silver:
Chart run: 63-62-40-47-59-63-70-75-77-81-88-99-99-x [13 weeks]

The Avicii-esque Tomorrowland anthem which was the first song from him in a while that was proper dance again (I nearly put 'Ocean' on the worst list because it's that much of a disappointment), good tune!

#
. Camila Cabello ~ She Loves Control
Date entered: 02/02/18
Chart sales: 290,800 :silver:
Chart run: 37-46-54-57-75-91-93-77-x [8 weeks]

Annoyingly this wasn't to be a proper single, but it did spend some time in my chart anyway, a subtle reggaeton inspired bop.

#
. Savoy ~ Let You Go
Date entered: 31/08/18
Chart sales: 292,100 :silver:
Chart run: 26-25-27-28-32-33-47-79-x [8 weeks]

This one discovered from BJSC, it has big Madeon/Porter esque production which is always a win especially since we haven't heard from Madeon in actual years.

#
. Disclosure ~ Funky Sensation (feat. Gwen McCrae)
Date entered: 31/08/18
Chart sales: 293,600 :silver:
Chart run: 12-11-21-27-33-44-55-61-78-82-x [10 weeks]

Part of their series of five tracks in a week, this is a great disco revival track.

#
. BUNT. ~ Little Secrets (feat. DamienDamien)
Date entered: 16/02/18
Chart sales: 294,500 :silver:
Chart run: 41-43-35-46-56-62-80-80-97-95-x [10 weeks]

Not quite up there with a certain song of theirs we sent to BJSC, but a solid tune nonetheless, they're the best folk house act I've found by some distance (aside from Avicii).

#
. Shadow Child ~ Ooh Tune
Date entered: 30/03/18
Chart sales: 295,000 :silver:
Chart run: 86-86-42-23-62-26-27-42-55-x [9 weeks]

Cool lo-fi piano house tune.

#
. Jorja Smith ~ Blue Lights
Date entered: 26/02/16
Chart sales: 295,100 (420,900 total) :gold:
Chart run: 38-56-x-89-64-55-52-55-45-46-40-45-68-x [10 weeks (12 total)]

Originally making the top 40 from its BJSC appearance, it returned following its single push and it really is her best effort yet so I'm glad it was a small chart hit.

#
. Au/Ra ~ Emoji
Date entered: 28/09/18
Chart sales: 296,400 :silver:
Chart run: 11-8-8-11-25-37-49-78-98-x [9 weeks]

Following on from 'Panic Room' and 'Darkside' this was an instant fave, now it's just a decent dance pop song, it didn't hold up as well as I'd have thought.

#
. Sean Paul and David Guetta ~ Mad Love (feat. Becky G)
Date entered: 23/02/18
Chart sales: 297,400 :silver:
Chart run: 78-67-79-82-75-91-91-58-49-84-76-59-63-78-x [14 weeks]

David Guetta's been rather inconsistent this year but this was a bit of a tune. Gotta love Sean Paul's ability to keep getting hits every now and then too.
