I can see this song being reasonably big considering Drake has more lines in it than Meek.

Does that mean Shy FX are doing well?

I'm not arguing that the playlists are helping her on Spotify. Anyone would benefit from being at the top. However, it makes perfect sense because it is quite undeniably the world's most popular Christmas song - looking away from streaming, it does the best on downloads too. In the UK it's more of a closely run contest with Wham! and The Pogues (although Mariah generally wins over both) but worldwide it's clear. Look at iTunes too, where Mariah is still comfortably ahead.

 

In fairness to The Pogues they have held their ownmost years in the UK chart. Here's a look at the peaks of both songs over the years:
