So with the release of John Gibbons’ track last week it got me thinking that there must be some hidden gems out there when it comes to Christmas music being represented in the world of dance.

I’d say Cascada and Basshunter probably have the most well known tracks. I’m quite fond of the DJ Snake one below too. Cascada have a whole Christmas album(!) which was released in 2013 and Kaskade also recently repackaged his Christmas album for 2018.

Are there any tracks you love in what seems to be an under-represented take on this theme?

The DJ Snake track seems to be taken from Mad Decent’s yearly compilation album. Some others below:

Would St Etienne be considered dance from 1994?

I guess so! Haven’t heard this before :o

It's many people's secret fav Xmas song, you don't hear it enough any more though!

very novelty (the main lyric is 'jingle my bells baby') but it's actually got a great beat to it (only kicks in after 30 seconds).

this one's a mashup of Last Christmas and Levels!

I have a couple!

Lindsey Stirling released a quality Christmas album last year; much of it (including my favourite track, 'You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch') isn't really dance but her version of 'Carol Of The Bells' is right in line with the ~dubstep violin~ tracks you're most likely to know her for:

filous' deep house version of 'Let It Snow' is one of my favourites:

If you like PC Music, GFOTY's 'Christmas Day':

Also, it's not a Christmas song at all but

sounds Christmas-y to me, helped by the snow imagery.
(a version of the Alena hit, as I learnt in a Lounge game this year) kind of does too.
Major Lazer - Christmas Trees & the Christmas Mix of Levels are the only ones here I've even heard of :o someone make a Buzzjack christmas playlist

Quite a great collection!

A nice one from Scooter, one of my Christmas faves:

Apparently 'Hyper Hyper' has a Christmas version too, I didn't know this one (well, it's a Hyper Hyper-Jingle Bells mix - I definitely prefer 'Dutch Christmas'):

Scanning through charts of years gone by and found this craziness from 1993

This remix of Slade went to number 30 in 1998

This eurodance cover of Last Christmas also from 1998

DJ Ötzi from 2001

THIS IS SO GOOD and something brand new!

Oh, this is awesome!
