August 30, 20195 yr TOOL's biggest strength would be in physical sales! But as someone pointed out elsewhere the CD version is apparently £80 which is not going to help them. Lmao it actually is!! No wonder their fans are downloading it instead (though I suspect a fair chunk of their fanbase would actually buy the CD). I expect their streaming will be decent too.
September 4, 20195 yr Sorry but why does Adele have 21 and 25 in the top 20? Repeat of the Channel 5 Documentary "Adele: In Her Own Words" on Sunday. Good to see Lana still at #1.

September 13, 20195 yr Sam Fender already at #1! Emeli Sande at #2 Emeli looking like she’ll be denied a second #1 album. That’s bad considering her debut was the best seller of 2012 and nearly became the best seller of 2013. Still find it embarrassing that Olly denied her a #1 album
September 13, 20195 yr Ollys one of the biggest album artists of the decade though He’s a fair few million sellers so him beating Emeli wasn’t that big a shock. If anyone was to beat her he’s someone I could sort of respect anyways. Did her last album go platinum in the end? Emeli managing top 5 in my opinion would be a success this time around. I don’t know anyone who actually knows she has an album out tbh outside This forum. I’d love her to actually enter at #2 behind Sam but I think Ed and Post will overtake her with streams. September 13, 20195 yr Emeli is simply looking for sales outside of this forums normal niche - she's advertised a lot on daytime to and is on daytime orientated shows and the radio 2 playlist!

September 15, 20195 yr Sam Fender won’t be falling from the top spot until Liam releases his album on Friday. Also he’s holding the #1 and #2 position of Amazon for his standard and signed CD (which has now just sold out). Can’t wait for the first week sales.
September 19, 20195 yr Does the Mercury Prize that's announced tonight have any affect on the albums chart anymore?
September 19, 20195 yr The last three winners all re-entered the top 15 after winning (Skepta to #13, Sampha to #7 and Wolf Alice to #15) although the revival of particularly the latter two was very brief. Of course Dave is still in the chart anyway, so he'll probably have a similar effect to Skepta, spiking higher up the chart then quickly receding back to where it currently is within a couple of weeks.
September 19, 20195 yr I can imagine if they chose a commercial winner it could help it a lot better especially Dave who has sold decently since release on streams especially.
