Singer and guitarist Jack White says he is divided "50/50" between his two bands - The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.

 

White's new band, The Raconteurs, released their debut album earlier this year, titled 'Broken Boy Soldiers'. The LP was a huge success and reached number two in the UK album chart.

 

And White says he is now divided "50/50" between his two bands, while also revealing that he is working on new material for another White Stripes record.

 

White told Uncut music magazine: "I have to honestly say that I'm divided totally 50/50 between The Raconteurs and The White Stripes.

 

"My brain now has two options for songs that I write, and it's a really nice luxury to have as a songwriter."

 

He added: "I have so many songs now for another White Stripes record. Meg and I are working on songs during breaks from touring with The Raconteurs."

 

Out of the White Stripes & The Raconteurs, who would you prefer Jack to work with?

The White Stripes.

 

I do like some of The Racounters songs but they really drain on you after a while and they don't so much with The White Stripes. ^_^ I think The White Stripes also make better songs as well than The Racounters. ^_^

White Stripes all the way! One of my favourite bands, I got an ice cream and watched Raconteurs from a distance at Wireless Festival however if it was the White Stripes I would have got as far to the front as possible :D

100% White Stripes... they've had some amazing records, unlike The Raconteurs - I hate 'Steady As She Goes' -_-

Both amazing groups. The question is, what will 2007 bring: a White Stripes or Raconteurs album?

The Raconteurs may be amazing but out of the two my first love will always be the White Stripes ^_^

I'd say The White Stripes seen as The Racounters released an album this year.

i agree with White Stripes. But for a different reason... i want brendan benson back to making his own records without Jack... :)
