(37) Ariana Grande - No Tears Left To Cry *4 weeks @ #1* *Most Weeks On Chart* • We’ve now come to the point of the chart where it shifts dramatically as recurrents start to pull out and the holiday season begins to die down. Predictably there’s barely any movement near the top 5. “thank u, next” spends a fourth week at #1 as the top 2 have stayed the same for the past four weeks. “POP/STARS” is the only top 5 entry. • Now this is where things get interesting. Three new songs enter the top 10, the highest of those being “Sunflower”, which is Post Malone’s best showing yet. Mark Ronson is shooting for his second #1 on the chart, as is Miley, and “Shallow” finally gains enough traction to reach the top 10. • Zara and Khalid enter the top 20 but there’s not much movement in that area • There’s a bit of a shift as “Vamonos” and “Chances” climb into the top 30, the latter moving up 10 spots • This post-holiday chart brings forth 8 debuts (the most in three years) with three of them in the top 40: the highest of those is Fading at #32 with new singles from Sabrina Carpenter and Madison Beer following suit. • “Consequences” manages to get into the chart just as Camila’s collab with Bazzi is dying down • Kygo has been having trouble setting the chart alight with his last huge hit being two years ago and “Remind Me To Forget” not lasting long. “Happy Now” with Sandro Cavazza outpeaks the latter with its #45 debut. • The chart also sees returns for Carly Rae Jepsen, MAGIC! via the new Cash Cash single, and Sofia Carson via the new R3HAB entry. R3HAB still has a lead credit and a remix still on the chart. • “Polaroid” and “Beautiful” share the biggest dropper honors with nine-spot drops. Droppers: OUT (35.) January 5, 20196 yr Happy Now :D Such a good song so of course it's the one Kygo single to have no UK chart impact besides the Spotify 200. Sunflower's got a bit old for me now, I'm loving Wow at the moment, is that going to chart here? great to see Mark Cyrus make the top 10 also, they really need to get a move on in Billboard but at least the UK has them top five. great chart!
January 6, 20196 yr Hello Cody! Nice to see "Sunflower", "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" and "Shallow" get into the top 10! I also like the debuts for "Fading", "Consequences", "Happy Now" and "Party For One"! Great chart!
