I enjoyed When I Die on first listen, much more than anything she released last year. Begs the question of why she's left it so long since Chasing Highs before releasing an actual album

Okay but why has everything following 'Chasing Highs' been absolutely heinous? I actually non-ironically stanned her back in 2017. Karma>Dye My Hair>Bonfire>Don't You Feel It>All Stars>Chasing Highs was an incredible run of songs. It's made worse by the fact that the songs she's co-written recently (including both 'Mother's Daughter' and 'Slide Away') are all amazing. Where's the same quality control for her own material??
