Eminem has decided to come out of retirement and release a new album.

 

The rapper took a break from the music business after getting "bored" last year, but R&B singer Akon has revealed that he is ready to start sharing his music again.

 

"Eminem told me he was getting bored with everything, which is why he took a break. But he's back working on an album and I've got some records ready for him to use on it," Akon told the Daily Star.

 

"I know him through Obie Trice and we've talked about doing something together for so long, but our schedules made it impossible. It was our chemistry that got him out of retirement."

I never thought he offically retired. :unsure: Anyhowz IMO Eminem has only ever made a few decent songs and I think he's a very over rated rapper and i'd prefered him to stay in retirement. I dunno what his reception will be in the UK though after all that stuff with him cancelling all his gigs though. :unsure:

I agree with all of this.

ugh, his material had gone so downhill in Encore, everything that used to make him good he overused and now people are bored of it, but it either that or stupid raps he can do, this will be bad I guarantee

I think all of his material has just generally been bad. I've never been able to see the appeal of him, and I think the only two decent tracks and the rest have been pretty dire IMO.

I think he's had some very good singles [stan, Toy Soldiers, The Way I Am etc] and his second album really is something special, but the whole lyrics about his daughter/childhood are getting repetitive, hes a one trick pony

I totally agree with the daughter stuff; first time its alright as its something different but on his singles he kept raping about the same stuff. The track he did for the 8 Mile is the best he's done IMO.

Eminem's last properly decent single was Without Me, where did it all go wrong :(

 

He needs some new source material

Don't get me wrong I think he's an EXCELLENT artist, not quite on par with Kanye but still an incredible rapper, but all this just ruins his appeal imo. There is never an excuse to come out of retirement (unless you're Paul Scholes of course http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/2185/magictmxz6.gif ).

I wouldn't put eminen in my favourite rappers, but he had a huge impact, he was the first white rapper that wasnt trying to be black

I am looking forward to Eminem's upcoming album 'The Re-Up.' Personally I think Eminem & Kanye West are the best rappers out in the industry, based on the quality of Chamillionaire's 2 singles so far he could possibly be equally as good but I'll reserve judgement on that until I have heard his album.
