oh wow is this still a thing how exciting
Last year’s second placed song is better than anything confirmed for ESC this year and that is just the tea.

Exciting news coming out of Spain today as they've confirmed a return to Junior Eurovision for the first time since 2006! :o

They actually had a very good record during their four years taking part, winning it in 2004, coming 2nd in 2003 & 2005 and their worst result in 2006 was still 4th. Interested to see what they can come up with, whether they can deliver in the same way France did when they returned last year for the first time since 2004

19 countries have today been confirmed as taking part, one down on last year. We're gaining Spain but losing Azerbaijan and Israel who both returned last year.

France not as good as last year and on first listen the novelty vibes were too high but I'll cut them some slack, this is Junior Eurovision after all, it does really get lodged in the head and is now quite the banger.

Let's draw some more attention to Poland who have a very good shot of winning again - this could quite easily be the new single from Dua Lipa and would not sound out of place in the adult contest!

Personally I am quite fond of the Irish entry again too

I declare Junior Eurovision 2019 a TRIUMPH

Expect the win to be between Poland and Spain...

I’m not saying that the Polish broadcaster is corrupt but...

The (mostly*) producer decided running order has given the death slot to France, placed Spain 5th and given slots 16, 17 and 18 to Albania, Italy and Portugal... I doubt it matters as much with only 19 songs and in an era where online voters must vote for at least three songs, but the stats are still against Carla and Melani as the winner has only come from the first half in 2003 and 2008

*Opening slot, closing slot and host nation are done by random draw

Online voting is now open if everyone can please trust my ranking and vote accordingly (you need to vote for 3-5 songs) xxxxx

My PREDICTION is as follows:

1  Spain

2  Poland

3  Armenia

4  France

5  Kazakhstan

6  Italy

7  Serbia

8  Australia

9  Netherlands

10  Russia

11  North Macedonia

12  Ireland

13  Malta

14  Belarus

15  Ukraine

16  Georgia

17  Albania

18  Wales

19  Portugal

I haven't heard any of the songs yet, last year had some serious bangers (Kazakhstan, Armenia, France) so hopefully there's something to keep me going until FiKmas.
Wow The Netherlands just blew everyone out of the very mediocre water, winner please.
Not mad at Poland winning, it was up there as one of the better ones and I enjoyed it more the second time so perhaps it's a grower. Yas at The Netherlands coming 4th.
