if cineworld gets broken up by odean and vue (which is the plan) will you go to the movies as much without the cineworld unlimited pass? (well if youve got one already)

In London..? Definitely not... :( I'd might as well wait for the films to come out on DVD special offers (5 for £30 at Virgin, etc, cos it costs about eight quid to go to sodding Vue cinemas in Central London.... )

That's just really pish though, what's the reason for this then....?

think its just the usual law of business, everyone takes over everyone else until you are left with only the choice of two megaomnipresent conglomerates.

think most are owned by venture capital firms anyway and so they pick and choose sites to get round the govt's monopoly people's concerns as its obv that either odean (who took over uci) and vue (who was warver-village and someone else) would like to take over cineworld altogether.

I wouldn't. I had an unlimited pass when it was UGC and I just ended up going to complete $h!te. They pretty much just cater for kids. Since I gave up my card I've been to the cinema four times in a year...instead of about twenty and I've enjoyed all the films I've seen.

Depends on where you live I suppose, I live in North London, and there are two Cineworlds near me in the West End (15-20 mins on the bus..), you get a pretty good selection of films, lots of Foreign Language/Arthouse/Asian films as well as the typical Hollywood lot.... So I tend to go quite a lot really...

Romanzo Criminale any good....? Thinking about going tomorrow...

its alright but v long. started to get bored at points.

actually went to see little children before it as it fitted in to the times of RC and tbh this wasnt a film that i really wanted to see unlike RC (trailer looked dull think it was gonna be another in the bedroom intelligent drama thing) but actually it drew me in and i thought it was the better film.
