I agree and some could have made better singles than some chosen as singles but as an era light years is and was an amazing time to be a kylie fan.

Enjoy Yourself

Aphrodite

Kylie (more novelty factor that gives them appeal and it was pretty criminal that Turn It Into Love didn't receive a proper release)

Already voted yesterday and didn't write a review as I wrote one for 'Golden' on the One Year On post, if u wanna check that out, then please do, plus that took a lot out of me, and so today I'll be giving my views on what I voted for in this post.

For least fave album I have to go for 'Enjoy Yourself', Its just so hard now and love everything left including this little gem and when I was a kid I owned this and her debut on Vinyl (still got them somewhere), and always had that nostalgic connection to both of these and this had a lot to prove considering the massive success of her debut and gladly this didn't disappoint, does what it says on the tin 'Enjoy Yourself'.

Hand On Your Heart - Getting off to a great start with the perfect lead single that shows a much more slick and polished production than anything she's done up until this point, but still has that catchy bubbly pop sound that appeals to her target audience and its hardly surprising that this became a massive hit and sold by the bucket loads, showing that not only that she was here to stay, but her previous success wasn't just a fluke. A well earned success and still stands as a firm fave Kylie classic.

Wouldn't Change A Thing - The hits keep coming with this more mature yet funky anthem that has that perfect summer vibe to it. Great guitars on the backing track and keyboards on the final chorus. Another pop masterpiece and yet again another well deserved success, Kylie was just unstoppable by this point. Plus this makes for a perfect follow up and carries on the flow of the album.

Never Too Late - Yet another smash hit comes in the form of this glorious beauty that really sums up that SAW sound, in which is all about the fun. It's simple in its construction as is with the case in many of SAW's pop numbers, but that's what makes them work, there's just a great energy about this and its always a pleasure when this comes on and plus this was Kylie's last single of the 80's and what a wonderful and iconic way to end a decade. Just a really strong single choice that works on just about every level.

Nothing To Lose - The first of the album only tracks now, and so many of these could have been singles (why only 4 her first album had 6, its not fair ). and this is one of them. In a similar style to some of the previous tracks on here, it has an instantly catchy opening and Kylie's vocals are subdued in each verse, but soon becomes more bold when the message of the song becomes more clear. A very catchy upbeat pop number and a dare I say a highlight.

Tell Tale Signs - After 4 upbeat pop numbers its time to slow things down with this nice little ballad that shows a definite different yet more mature side to Kylie where she demonstrates the awesome range and power of her voice in this short but sweet little number.

My Secret Heart - Another nice ballad and Kylie really shows off her amazing range her and pulls off some fantastic chords. Not one of my faves on this album and find that it gets lost amongst the more finer moments on here, but it does highlight at how great of a singer she is.

I'm Over Dreaming (Over You) - After 2 beautiful ballads, the pace picks up in a massive way with this highly energetic number with a deep bass and has a more clubbier feel to it. A very catchy number that instantly gets stuck in your head and puts a firm smile on your face, with brilliant hooks and a chorus that just POPS!. Now this was a major missed opportunity for a single release and think of all the fantastic remixes it could have had.

Tears On My Pillow - Back to the ballads now with this 1950's cover that doesn't really stray too far away from the original and once again Kylie's voice shines especially on the final section of the song. Its nice enough I suppose, but there are far better tracks on here, but this did give her 4th UK chart topper, so it has that going for it, I suppose.

Heaven and Earth - We again slow things down with an okay ballad with some of course superb vocals by Kylie, but find this is one ballad too many and find that this is definitely the album's weakest and most forgettable moment.

Enjoy Yourself - Coming to the end of this album with an almighty BANG!, as we're back to the dancefloor with a thumping bass and continuous with keyboard programming that builds and builds throughout the chorus making the whole thing a glorious infectious pop at its finest. A more ricer dance/pop sound that gives you hint as to where Kylie would go next. This is yet another potential lost classic single that would have been huge and in my opinion could have made for a better 4th single, or at the very least double a-side with 'TOMP'. Just a glorious way to end an album.

For album cover gonna go with 'Aphrodite', and have already given my views on this in the last round, and after writing an extensive review of 'EJ', I just can't be bothered.

As for single choices, now this was hard as again everything left is just so perfect and so I'm clutching at straws and voted for Enjoy Yourself again, as I'm just being picky and going on the basis of while the first 3 singles were spot on and correct, 'Tears On My Pillow' was a bit of a MEH choice, considering when there's tracks like 'Nothing To Lose', 'I'm Over Dreaming (Over You)' & 'Enjoy Yourself' just laying on there and hell even on an outside chance 'Tell Tale Signs' could have made a nicer release, if she wanted to go with a ballad choice. However as it stands 'TOMP' doesn't really offend me all that much, just wish it wasn't the final single and she went with at least one more to close the era perfectly. The Title track would be my top choice.

As always, such an enjoyable read, thank you, I love this album and yeah it may be nostalgia but it’s still one of my faves. I look forward to your commentary when the countdowns start.

Im a huge fan of enjoy yourself its one of my fave albums by Kylie. Its often overlooked by many fans but for me its right up there with the best of them and such a brilliant follow up to her huge selling debut.
