sorry Suggy, but according to Devoted figures KO has sold just 883.500 copies... I think FC sold double of that in 3 weeks :o

btw, I'm happy he released SIO... brave Will ! :) :) :)

it's quite strange KO era is over in UK while he even has to start promotion in Italy ! :o

FC has sold a little lower than double KO in total sales not in 3 weeks but a lot of those sales were down to LRN, a song that will go down as a classic. I think he sold a round a million with this release alone whereas KO has steadily increased his sales with every release.

I agree Will was brave to release SIO & it was the right move. Artists that stand still are yesterday's news.

Totally agree Lifelight. Isn't it great being a fan of such a diversely talented man. We just don't know what to expect next & that makes him so special.

I love that he is so unpredictable it makes me nervous sometimes, but I would not change a thing

May I butt in. The figures given for the total sales of KO are physical sales alone with downloads only counting after April 20th. Will says his combined sales are close to a million. He has his finger on the pulse and I'm inclined to believe him. As TT says - SIO lost a huge amount of download sales which never qualified because SBMG, in all their wisdom, decided to release it months before it was due for release. By that time most people would have already downloaded. I don't believe it failed - in fact it sold the album perfectly because people were talking about their love/hate for SIO - which is what marketing is all about.

I'm pretty sure that FC hit the 1,000,000 :cheer: (I do like that) exactly two months after it's release on the 1st December 2003 i.e. 1st February 2004. I remember there were a lot of posts about it at the time and whether he would or wouldn't do it.

I think SIO was the right choice to kick-off KO - it's a pity that Sony BMG bugged up the download business - but whilst it's taken a bit longer to get to the magic figure, I've no reason to doubt Will and the 1,000,000 (I do so like that), bearing in mind KO was SonyBMG's highest download last year. It's a pity that they can't be a bit more forthcoming with actual figures.

Either way, Keep On has been a very successful album and I love it, not every album sells 1.6 million, even Madonna and Robbie don't, to mention two bigger artists than Will, so I think Will has done amazingly well to have his first three albums all reach multi platinum status, he's only been in the music business for just over 4 years and I can't wait to hear what's on album number four. :funky:
