the film starter for ten starring James McAvoy, Alice Eve, Rebecca Hall, Catherine Tate, Benedict Cumberbatch and Mark Gatiss come out this weekend. and to tie in with that fact here are the cure records from the trailer.

so your starter for ten is...what is your favourite cure record?

The Cure have four distinct eras....

Post-Punk (Boys Dont Cry, Three Imaginary Boys)

Dark, Avante Garde/Gothic (Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Carnage Visors, Pornography)

Indie (The Head at The Door, The Top, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, Wish, Disintegration, Wild Mood Swings)

Alt Rock (BloodFlowers, The Cure)

I would say my fave all-time Cure track is "A Forest"....

even though those dont mean much to me with out the hits book, think i like the sound of avant garde gothic

songs on the trailer are good pop songs whatever!!!

'The Lovecats'......and 'Why Can't I Be You'

too many to mention - ALL the Head on the Door album (especially A Night Like This and Push), ALL of Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, most of Pornography, and some of Japanese Whispers.

My favourite ever Cure moment is the fantastic 'Let's Go To Bed'.

Lost interest in them post 80s, though.... the magic just isn't there anymore.
