Obviously 1.18m is great, but I did expect it to do about 1.5m considering that Stormzy debuted with like 800k the other day.

That Logic track Homicide has only been a hit due to Eminem, the album has been panned :lol:

I really like 'Homicide' and that's not just because of Eminem but it does seem like on the whole Logic is in serious need of some quality control. In the last 12 months he's put out 3 albums (one of which ('Supermarket') was a mahoosive flop, even considering it was just a soundtrack to his novel), that's a very fast turnover even by rap music standards.

Hence why I expected a tiny bit more considering it features Bieber and the fact that he actually did 2.5m first day with both songs combined if that makes sense x

I get the feeling 'I Don't Care' isn't going to be quite as big as a lot of us feared.

It'll no doubt be #1 this week with big sales but it won't have the longevity of 'Shape Of You' or 'Perfect'.

Should be kicked off #1 before week 9 too hopefully.

Hopefully it’ll fall behind Stormzy and Lil Nas X on Spotify soon, considering they’re doing 750-800k

The initial online reaction to this song hasn't been near as positive as it was for 'Shape Of You' and 'Castle On The Hill', so not surprised at its first day streams coming in a little bit below those, over 1 million in the first day is still fantastic numbers. I've not heard the song yet but I get the feeling it probably won't hang around as well as they did either but it should be good to spend at least a couple of weeks at #1. (Tbh after seeing that it fell short of the worldwide numbers '7 rings' got I was kind of expecting it to be a little under 1 million in the UK, but I guess Ed's support is still a little more concentrated here than I thought)

 

Logic isn't a big streaming draw in the UK, the success of 'Homicide' really was almost entirely down to Eminem. According to Kworb archives it's only his fifth song to make the top 100 on Spotify here (following the obvious '1-800-273-8255' and three songs from the 'Bobby Tarantino II' album which got to #34 (the Marshmello collab), #59 and #70, so the impact of this new album is a little less than that but that makes sense considering Logic is kind of exhausting his own fanbase by dropping so many albums (this being the third new one since then!) and this one in particular is getting really bad reviews even from his fanbase).

 

I see Skepta is finally having a new song actually catch on a bit on Spotify, quite surprising that his last few releases (apart from the A$AP Rocky feature) have done almost nothing when he still seems like one of the biggest and most talked about artists in the UK scene. Looks like this one should be his highest peaking song since his full pop sellout days.

Delighted Shawn has managed to creep into the Top 10! Hopefully If I Can't Have You manages to have a decent run for him and ACR won't kill it off as dramatically as it killed In My Blood (that 38-88 drop makes me cringe)

Logic I'm guessing will have a few songs in the top 50 when it updates but get ready for an Sheeran/Bieber takeover at the top for a very long period I'm guessing

Think their reign will be much shorter than people expect.
