Bennett & Goodrem Duet

 

 

Bennett has recorded a duet of Steppin' Out With My Baby with Australian singer Delta Goodrem.

 

He's never met Goodrem, with the singers having worked separately on the recording, which features on the Australian release only.

 

"That was the one case internationally where we didn't meet," he said.

 

Meanwhile, Bennett said he would tour Australia with his band in 2007.

 

"I am coming down there this March or early April.

 

"Maybe I will bring k d lang along with me," he said of the Canadian singer with whom he also has recorded an album of duets.

 

"She is a wonderful singer."

Interesting that they never actually met to record it!!

It's a great track, but Delta isn't even mentioned on the add for the cd!!

Delta sang her bits and then it was edited in with Tony's ... which totally makes the whole point of this duet pointless if they never met or actually sang together!!

Lol, it wasn't really a duet in that sense Kirsty, it's for a duets album so it's not like the artists had to bond or preform together live.....but yeah it was stupid, i guess he did have alot of people to sing with though!

Yea I know but even so it still strikes me as a total load of c**p [not feeling it much - too jazzy for me] and a time waster!!

Gotta agree with Kirsty. It's pretty pointless even bothering to have done this song. It's not like Delta can even say she's worked with Tony Bennett...even the X-factor contestants got to actually meet him!

it seems a bit weird to class this a duet when they didn't meet or sing together in the flesh for any of it. I agree it's slightly pointless. I still really like the track, it's nice that Delta was asked to be on the record, but yeah really ridiculous they didn't even record together.

I don't see how it matters if they met or not; it's not like it's a single...

Anyway I actually really like it.. :o

i think other other in the past have done a dueet but recorded it seperately
