as for the Love Regenerator singles, no point including most of them, but Hypnagogic did get R1 playlisted so we could count that.

I wasn't aware that we should go with the last rate. I thought that there was a chance to pick a song from previous ones. :drama:

 

Either way, I'm fine with "Open Wide" unless there's a veto if it's submitted because it was a US single, not a UK single. In case we can't go with that, I guess "Hype" is our only option. "Nuh Ready Nuh Ready" is a no for me and the same applies, in a lesser extent, to "Off The Record".

It seems that "Hype" might be chosen. There was some discussion that "Homesick" couldn't be picked as an option in the Dua Lipa forum because it was released as a single in selected European countries, so I assume the same is going to be applied to "Open Wide". :(

Open Wide had about as much promotion as Hype in the UK so I disagree with it being ineligible too.

Well... that's not fair because "All I See" wasn't a UK single. <_< The Mims remix was the lead US single and the album version was the fifth AUS single from X.

then of course there is Ecstasy from Motion with is 66 BPM, not that any of those are going to do well at all :drama:

they've u-turned on the BPM rule but regardless Calvin doesn't have a whole lot of ballads. I was thinking perhaps we could try and send the acoustic version of 'By Your Side' then.

The BPM rule was odd, so I'm glad that it was discarded. The acoustic version of "By Your Side" seems good to me as a pick for the ballad round.

Thanks Lewis for beginning the discussion of AF Idol. I split the threads for consistency, so we could keep the 2.0 version on its own, so I hope you don't mind it. Anyway, "Sweet Nothing", "Promises" and "We'll Be Coming Back" have been thrown so far. As I mentioned in the thread, I don't think we should go with the latter, but the others are good choices.

 

We have three rounds of free choices (two before eliminations) where we could pick anything, so I think we should go big. "I'm Not Alone", "We Found Love", "Pray To God" and "How Deep Is Your Love" are also another possibilities, besides the already mentioned, in my opinion.

Give a few hours and see where we are at. Promises isn't a bad shout though
