possibly a single? we need something that will stand out but in a good way amongst all the pop

agreed. do we go with something more poppy to try and appeal to the masses like something from AL or do we go with an anthemic throwback rock track?

so it's gonna really be something like Hard Times/Rose Coloured Boy/Told You So/Fake Happy VS Misery Business/Ignorance/Thats What You Get/Decode?

pretty much! whatever we don't go with this round we can send to the next one though so if we start off with AL we can hopefully get through to R2 and send a classic rocky one

I'd also love to use this as a chance to showcase some of their lesser known ones. Hello Cold World from the singles club, I Caught Myself from Twilight and Decoy from Riot! b-sides are all worthy

yes Lindsey but are you just going by your personal taste/faves or are you actually thinking about what's gonna do well?

 

it's a tough crowd when the majority aren't even fans of rock/alt music etc

kinda but someone has to make the decision and it's gonna be me so :)

 

paramore are genre defying, I refuse to believe anyone can hate everything they've done as they've done songs fitting into pretty much any genre

I guess thats v true.

 

I mean self titled is a bit of a messy album but it's arguably the most diverse in the genres it touches base on, maybe we shouldn't overlook the album tracks on there

 

I don't wanna send still into you tho, maybe ain't it fun at a push x

I personally prefer RCB and the video is so good but Hard Times was more popular in general iirc and was the lead single that introduce the AL era so maybe that would be a nice one to have first so it's linking with that?

good shout! also it's the first song we've sent to a contest as a forum so that's also kinda cool for that reason x
