November 8, 200618 yr This is a fantastic looking film... From what I hear, the film has some real depth to it as well as having loads of pretty amazing creature action.... Yeah, no doubt this will be remade by some w/anker in Hollywood who will undoubtedly miss the whole point of the film.... <_<

November 17, 200618 yr Author This is a fantastic looking film... From what I hear, the film has some real depth to it as well as having loads of pretty amazing creature action.... i enjoyed it. had the same kind of feeling and tone as public enemy and mr vengence (but obv with a big mutant). and lots of political undertones that you could desect and dicuss over a pint or two (like the martians/eastern bloc/soviets thing) Yeah, no doubt this will be remade by some w/anker in Hollywood who will undoubtedly miss the whole point of the film.... <_< will it will probs turn out just to be a movie about a big monster. cant see how they are gonna get round the american thing, well except it they set it in London. actually i bet if they remake it the american version will just turn out to be evolution again. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2f/Evolution_movie.jpg
November 17, 200618 yr Saw it last weekend - excellent film, a monster movie with a heart and a brain. The extremity of the grief sequences actually left me feeling incredibly uncomfortable and awkward (in a good way..) because of the deliberately un-even tone of the sequence. Obviously very allegorical with relation to the SARS thing from a few years ago, and I would bet that the whole 'bird flu' hysteria in East Asia played no small part in influencing the film-makers as well.... I think that if this film is re-made by someone like Peter Jackson or Guillermo Del Toro, then it'll probably turn out okay, if it's someone like Roland Emmerich (or, worse yet, Michael Bay...) then it'll suck, big time.....
