i had this unreal dream afew weeks ago that i went to the madonna concert with paulmark and someone else!

i bought the hump whoops (jump) single today, and its good!

The 'history' track is differnt to the one i downloaded weeks ago though..

i prefer the one without the long intro!

Anyways....i'm genuinly thrilled that 'Jump' is top 5 in the mid-week chart!! All the snubbing and criticism Madonna has had to put up with lately goes to show that Madonna is here to stay and oh purleeese...Madonna songs don't flop so to those who wanted her to have an 'over-due flop' shame on u!

Well falling 5 places in the midweeks and dropping 11 places the week after isn't exactly a smash is it? -_-

Well it made the top ten unlike other artists who's second single couldn't even make top ten!! So yes it is a smash hit...top ten position seals that! Falling a million places a week later don't matter, especially for a 4th single! :)

Of course it isn't a smash hit... it'll be very, very lucky to have 4 weeks inside the Top40, you call that a smash hit? :mellow:

 

The number of entry means absolutely nothing, it's the amount of copies sold that determines whether it's a flop or not.

Ive listened to ray of light, its very different compared to her other stuff. I really like drowned world, ray of light, frozen, the power of goodbye and LITTLE STAR(such a cute song)

I hope it growsd on me more!

As i say Kelly; it was a top ten hit and it will go down in Madonna history and overall music history that Jump was a top ten hit for Madonna! So yes..thats a hit! Your interpretations of 'smash hit' can come to as many conclusions but at the end of the day..it was a hit dude! Just Like Mariah's Can i get ur numba/Shake it off when it spent a week in the top ten at #9! :)

it was a hit!!! i think # 5 is really good from an album that sold loads!!

i think it looks better if it actually hits number 5 then going down, then getting number 11 and it just keeps hanging around there!

Well I guess we all have our own interpretations, I wouldn't call Get Your Number/Shake It Off a hit, and I certainly wouldn't call Jump a hit either, but as I say, each to their own.

 

Oh and Shaun, Jump peaked at #9 and has dropped 10+ places every week since then.

it is my favourite Madonna album, yes it is very different from her other stuff, but thats why i like it :wub:
