How odd to have an album track from a flop album from seven years ago as an "encore".

Her fans been asking her for so long to perform it and there was a setlist request

Right, I still think it's an odd ender though as I'd figured that Las Vegas setlists are more about pleasing the crowds rather than fans.

Don't get me wrong - I'm happy she's just not ignoring Lotus beyond the singles, same with Bionic and the latest one. It's just odd to put so many non-singles and non-hits in a Vegas setlist, but maybe a lot of them a truncuated as it's quite a long setlist.

she has so many beautiful ballads ‘the voice within’, ‘hurt’ etc.. i’m disappointed they’ve not been included but a gospel song from a whitney houston movie has been?! act five will be a nightmare for casuals.

I could genuinely see casuals walking out on Act 5 to be honest. I'm imagining there might be set changes pretty soon.

Yeah, it's odd not to do The Voice Within or Hurt (which has seemingly gotten more popular thanks to reality shows constantly using it) - odd setlist as I said. Vegas Shows are meant for casual fans as opposed to hardcore ones - even Gaga panders with her Vegas show.

I adore Xtina but there’s so many album tracks better than the ones she’s performing.

Let There Be Love isn’t really a closer either it’s more like an opener or a follow up to Your Body if anything.

Beautiful closing would feel a lot better in my opinion.

I wonder if this setlist will be closer to the UK tour or if it’ll change again.

I think it will be the same setlist

I think it will be the same setlist

That might be the intention, but I think it'll be inevitable to change up act 5 as I have a hard time imagining that it'll have a good reaction from the VERY casual Las Vegas crowd.

I could also see them dropping I Love The Lord as gospel doesn't really go down well in Europe. They should just add in Hurt or The Voice Within there tbh.

  • 2 weeks later...

Is it unlikely we’re gonna get new material before the show?

I know she takes long gaps and Liberations only one year old but maybes like a Miley style EP with a handful of tracks possibly.

I can see the set list sort of changing.

Hurt and The Voice Within should be on there.

I expected more Liberation tracks too.
