Posted June 2, 20196 yr President Donald John Trump, the most powerful man in the world, lands at Stansted airport tomorrow morning, accompanied by all his children, their spouses and children. He wants to make it a truly family event. All those old enough will attend the State dinner hosted by The Queen tomorrow night at Buckingham Palace. Sky News will be with him every step of the way. :) Edited June 3, 20196 yr by linds expresses an offensive and unpopular opinion as if its the views of the entire site/country in the attempt to rub people the wrong way. this is not the place for that kind of comment.
June 2, 20196 yr Author A massive security operation is already in force at Stansted airport where Air Force One will land sat 9am. with flights delayed or cancelled and public entry severely restricted. Also in Central London with all Met. police leave cancelled and hundreds of heavily armed Secret Service agents already here. He'll transfer to a Marine One helicopter and land on the Palace lawns as a carriage ride up The Mall with The Queen is considered too risky by the US Secret Service. June 3, 20196 yr Author There are reports that Prince Philip will not attend the state banquet but the Queen, Charles, Camilla, William and Kate will.
June 3, 20196 yr Author Hope he has an awful time! How nasty. What has he ever done wrong to you?
June 3, 20196 yr The man is a criminal (sorry, 'we cannot say that the President did not commit a crime'), leading a regime built on strongman politics, horrific migrant treatments, radical and adversary conservatism, all centred around this man who comes off as more a combination of a petulant child and a lecherous oaf than a statesman. Trump baby balloons aren't enough. We should not support him. Cordiality and famed British passive-aggressiveness at best, given it's happening.
June 3, 20196 yr Author He's been busy Tweeting as he entered UK airspace, calling Sadi Khan a "stone-cold loser" Think he just likes to stir up a bit of controversy.
June 3, 20196 yr Author I think it's absolutely disgusting that the Shadow Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry MP, will be going out on to the streets of London to join protests tomorrow. Hasn't she better things to do? Should Labour win the next election and Trump be re-elected, she could be Foreign Secretary. Edited June 3, 20196 yr by Common Sense

June 3, 20196 yr Author I am curious now as to what commonsense said that needed this edit! I'll PM you it. I said nothing offensive whatsoever. The original thread title was "Welcome to the UK Mr. President" Nothing wrong with that at all. Edited June 3, 20196 yr by Common Sense
June 3, 20196 yr I think it's absolutely disgusting that the Shadow Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry MP, will be going out on to the streets of London to join protests tomorrow. Hasn't she better things to do? Should Labour win the next election and Trump be re-elected, she could be Foreign Secretary. The last Foreign Secretary said that he didn’t want to go to New York because of the risk of meeting Trump. You seem to think that same person would be a good PM.
June 3, 20196 yr I'll PM you it. I said nothing offensive whatsoever. The original thread title was "Welcome to the UK Mr. President" Nothing wrong with that at all. just be thankful I sent it here and not straight to the trashcan
June 3, 20196 yr He's been busy Tweeting as he entered UK airspace, calling Sadi Khan a "stone-cold loser" Think he just likes to stir up a bit of controversy. No he likes to insult people, support racists and murderers, lie about his financial affairs, links to Russia, put his family into key government posts so they can makes shitloads of millions using their position for personal gain. Oh and half his staff have been found guilty of corruption, lying, and many other things. Crooks are generally hired by crooks. Crooks that hide their tax affairs, pardon fellow crooks who have supported him, and slag off everyone who doesn't toady up or state his very many negative qualities as a human being.. Oh and he's as thick as two short planks. He lies all the time. Have I mentioned the lying? He lies about things that are on film and 100% obvious to everyone, and still he lies. How do you know when Trump is lying? His mouth is open. All of the above is fact, sorry Chris oops!
June 3, 20196 yr How nasty. What has he ever done wrong to you? Or indeed anyone on this group? OK, he is an odious character, but he is still POTUS, and should be treated as such.
June 3, 20196 yr Or indeed anyone on this group? OK, he is an odious character, but he is still POTUS, and should be treated as such. No and no. His administration has sought to roll back the rights of people like me. We don't choose our sexuality, and by having less rights than others the implication is that we are not equal. So excuse me if the standard eye roll emojis and "He is POTUS" lines don't cut it for me. I don't care who he is.
June 3, 20196 yr Titles don't make anyone immune to criticism and I'm shocked that that idea is being bandied about here, that's totalitarian nonsense. His crimes, his stupidity and incompetence are regularly on display, his regime's intolerance regressiveness is quite readily apparent. The fact that he persuaded half of America to fall for his populist cult makes no difference.
