Thanks for this - a lot more bands I know due to totp. Strange with the rerelease of Bananarama & Chaka Khan. ABC also getting decent airplay but a poor chart placement. Also the top 3 weren't really climbers!
That's a lot of work compiling all that data! The charts were a right old mix of cheese and fabness - some I dont recall at all! Like that Lynne Hamilton track - surely that's just been made up, it never existed! :lol: (googles: ah Prisoner of Cell Block Thingy, no wonder I dont recall it, more Aussie-based cheese!)

I remember this chart so well as I was a big Jason Donovan fan and thought him going straight in at number 1 mega as that never really happened back then.
