You may have seen that I have just posted the most nominated sportsperson for Africa, but have not done so for Europe. This is because SIX different people (well, men) received the joint highest number of nominations, meaning we have to resort to a tie-break.

The rules are simple - vote for the TWO sportspeople you think deserve an automatic spot in the Final. The two sportspeople with the most votes will get those automatic spots, whilst the other four will join the 191 other sportspeople nominated from Europe in the Qualifying rounds. Voting will only be open until tomorrow afternoon so you've not got much time!

Federer takes the first AQ spot quite easily here, striding ahead of the others. With his Wimbledon tournament going well so far, I can certainly see why he's viewed so highly.

 

 

And, by one vote, Ronaldo takes second. I have to say he does annoy me as a person but that's not what this contest is about, and it's clear that he is certainly rated as a player.

 

The first qualifying group will be released either tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on how quickly it takes me to write up 50+ descriptions :P
