Posted November 10, 200618 yr Channel 4 announces autumn schedule 10 November 2006 - 08:56:48 Source: Music Week Channel 4 has announced its music schedule for the autumn, including a U2 Week in November, the screening of eight Robbie Williams-inspired short films and a number of Oasis-related shows. The U2 Week takes place in November culminating in a dedicated U2 Weekend. Programmes will be shown across Channel 4, E4 and More 4, with unique content available on www.channel4.com/music and Channel 4 radio. Highlights include an interview with June Sarpong, music videos from the band’s career, concert footage and the network premiere of U2: Live In Milan. The Robbie Williams series comprises shorts from seven young directors who the singer asked to make films to complement his new album, as well as one film from a Channel 4 competition winner, based around Rudebox album track The 80s. The Oasis programming, which will take place in November across Channel 4 and E4, includes interviews, concert footage, the debut of on the road documentary Lord Don’t Slow Me Down and an hour-long acoustic show Noel Gallagher: Sitting Here In Silence. As previously announced, the broadcaster is also screening the UK Music Hall Of Fame 2006, which will include a performance by The George Martin All Star Band featuring Queen’s Roger Taylor, Corinne Bailey Rae, Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell and Jose Gonzalez.
