Posted November 10, 200618 yr now hold on a mo....lol... apparently mi5 have knowlege of 30 odd terror plots in the uk, plus 1600 people are under surveylance.... now assuming this is true ( the facts of which are debateable), havnt we let 'the enemy' in to our lives? 99.9% of any 'non indigenous' peoples are of course law abiding citizens, but it only takes 1 nutter to wreak havok, killing thousands. this will fuel racial hatred and give racists in particular the chant 'enoch was right'... after all, if we didnt allow any immigration then surely there would be no threat from 'the enemy within', would there?...

And, er, how would that have stopped the IRA bombing us for 30 years then Rob....? We've made some of these people our enemy by our actions abroad against countries in which many of these people have relatives, and our continued support of Israel through dodgy arms deals, etc.. I try to put myself into their position, and I reckon I would be seriously resentful of the British Govt and British society in general if a relative of mine in Iraq or Lebanon was killed either directly or indirectly by Govt hands I'm also just trying to imagine how I would feel if I was living in the times of Wallace and Robert the Bruce... I think I would certainly fight against the English... Or if I was American living in the times of George Washington, again, I think I would definitely fight against the Brits, or if I was an Irish Catholic (I have Irish blood after all..), would I actually join the IRA? I dunno mate, I really dunno.... I realise that these are totally different times, but I think we should just bear these things in mind is all...
November 10, 200618 yr More scare tactics by the government to try and justify more and more erosions of our privacy and more and more spying on us, I very much doubt there are that many plots but hey when the next round of government eroding our privacy and freedom of speech they will cite $h!t like this in a pathetic excuse to justify the invading of privacy Edited November 10, 200618 yr by Kimi Räikkönen

If a relative of mine was murdered by, say, invading US troops and I was living there - do you HONESTLY think I'd stay in that country? What person with any shred of morals or decency WOULD? You'd pack up, make your views heard very loudly and bugger off home - yes? And furthermore...if I despised a Government as much as these people appear to ours... then why the hell are they claiming benefits from them? Surely that's against any decent person's principles....? As for Powell's speech - maybe people here should Google it and read it today - he WAS right after all.....

You'd pack up, make your views heard very loudly and bugger off home - yes? Hmm, well, if they're actually born here (as ALL of the July 7 bombers were, NONE of 'em were immigrants..), then they kinda ARE home, so how can they bugger off anywhere....? I mean you dont have to necessarily actually BE Iraqi or Lebanese to have relatives that live there - cousins, uncles, aunties, etc; I've got cousins and an uncle in Holland, I aint Dutch.... But believe me, if the incredibly unlikely scenario of US or UK bombing Holland and one of my cousins got killed did actually occur, then you better believe I'd consider taking up arms against the Govt.... And again, you assume that immigrants make up some kind of majority of benefits claimants - this is simply NOT the case, the vast majority of benfits claimants are Brits.... And if some Asylum Seekers are claiming benefits then it is purely because of the incredibly stupid laws that disallow them from actively seeking work... I find it utterly ridiculous that we stop a qualified doctor, a nurse, or a teacher from actually working when they actually want to (and what qualified professional is actually gonna choose to sit on their arse, be content with a poxy pittance chucked at them every fortnight from the Govt, and do nothing.....?) simply because they are asylum seekers..... And I've said it once, and I'll say it again, no one should be disqualified from criticising a totally corrupt Govt simply because they chose to live in a place, Govts do NOT define what a country is - the people do... I wouldn't be shy of going on the streets of Washington DC and having a go at Dubya if I lived in the States, believe me.....
