April 6, 200619 yr I think the general consensus is that Louis Walsh isn't going to be very useful to Shayne. I haven't seen anyone post that he would help.
April 7, 200619 yr I think Louis' input depends on what Shayne wants. If he wants to be perceived as a credible singer/songwriter longterm, then he may be struggling. If on the other hand, he wants to just sing/mime and make a good living, he should be fine. Westlife and Girls Aloud have both earned plenty under his management. I get the feeling he will be happy for the first year or so and then will strive for more creative freedom in his music and the gigs he attends. I thought Shayne had a good voice on X factor, but not an exceptional one. We will have to wait and see how he goes on. Just to clarify, in case anyone thinks I am defending Louis, I can't stand him, but I do believe Shayne will earn a decent living working with him.
